Free Dining 2008 Watch

Do any of you happen to be annual passholders? I'm curious how the new policy that AP's not having to purchase 1day passes in order to receive the (purchased) DDP affects the free DDP?

Any experience out there yet from AP's?

I booked today

My friend has an AP and I need to buy passes

They told me we had to have one day purchased for each....even though she was a pass holder

He did tell me she could use the day towards her upgrade for next years AP or a park hopper for her next visit, which is what shes going to do

First Time Poster

Me and my family are book for POPC on 9/15-9/20 with the regular dining plan already set. If I switch us to the Free Dining plan do I have to rebook the rooms or will they just make the change to the Dining Plan?

Thanks

Confused

After reading all these posts today, I'm getting so excited and cannot wait til Thursday! This is the first time we (hopefully) will be able to take advantage of the free dining!

The dates we're looking at are 9/19 - 9/24 (and yes, I'm pulling my 6 year old out of school for a couple days). This will be her 2nd trip and my youngest daughter's first trip (she'll be three by then).

Wish me luck! :woohoo:

I noticed on this disboard under discounts where it talks about free dining, there are 2 sets of codes. One is labeled "booking codes for disney visa card holders and the other is just "booking codes"

What are the just "booking codes"? Are they possibly for those of us that are waiting for Thursday morning?

The codes that begin with C's are for everyone. The codes that begin with A's are for travel Agents. Good Luck Thursday!

When you say "C" is for everyone, those are for only the disney card holders.
Not for people on Thursday, Right?

No they should be for everyone. Most CM's won't even ask for them if you tell them you want free dining. If they do give the C-- code that is for the package you want.

Go to User CP at the top of the forum tool bar and click it. Then on the left hand side you will see a list of things you can change(Edit Signature, Edit profile). Hope this helps

Goto www.tickerfactory.com and follow the steps to personalize youre ticker then copy and paste the bbccode that will show into your signature as the above poster stated!

But we have to wait till Thurday? I already have ressie....
This will be the first time we have been, so I am new and doing so much research. It is pretty bad when I wake up in the morning and I realized that I thought or dreamed about Disney stuff. This free dining is :scared1: me out!!!

does anyone know if you can book a king room and two double bed room side by side at POP? How "for sure" is that the rooms are side by side?

my dd14 and dd16 are getting a bit big to share a bed, and I am considering the two room option instead of POFQ.

Thanks!

You can request that setup and they will note it in your reservation, but will not guarantee it. We have requested it twice and once we got it and once we did not.
You may have a better chance of getting it if you just want side by side and not connecting, because there are fewer connecting rooms.
I hope it works out for you!

Congratulations Everyone!!!

I browsed thru & it seemed like most everyone got what they wanted!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Another Carolinian here! Just over the state line in Rock Hill, SC! Still consider myself a Charlotte girl though!;)

NOt from NC here, from Mass! ,,mm your closer to Bonnaroo than me :O. Got our Port Orleans Alligator Bayoou for 9/9 to 9/17 :D, FD, got to book both couples on my visa WOOT! and Flights still the same. Jetblue tue or wed is still 79$ a person each way :), wow I wish I knew last time, when I went on Saturday where I paid more for 2 people than it is costing for 4 people round trip! It's doubley fun going with a couple who has never been to disney, excited to WoW them with all that there is to do <eg>, and since we know the ins and outs of travel(boat at Port O makes a huge differance!) and what's what, I know we can maximize their 1st stay ... wooot! I wish it was during Food and Wine, but 600$ savings isn't worth giving up for much in this world :O (made me think though!)

can anyone tell me this
1. can a non DV cardholder make a ressie for the FD dates and get the FD with out the DV code
2. will the WDW agent ask them for a code:confused3

I needed to give the code, and I needed to give the card :sad1: , but thursday that all changes and you don't need DV.

Thank you! Will get them to quote me a price on Thursday!!! We are already booked into POFQ (we were going with or without FD!)

I have already made my res. for 9/21-9/27 at POR. Can I add the 20th on and get free dining for the whole length of stay? I already booked my airfare so I'm trying to see if its worth it to change my flight for arrival day, the fees may not make it worth it.

I didn't get my email from DV until 9PM last night.Thank goodness for the Dis boards. I had reservations, ADR's and my flights all booked by 9 in the morning.
