We are going Sept 14-20. We went last year Sept 3 -9 it was hot, but it was still worth it. We wanted to go Sept 21-28 hoping it was a little bit cooler, but chose to go a week earlier for free dining. It's just easier for us to go Sun-Sat than Sat-Fri. Sunday is a rest day for us so we would have really wasted the day if arriving on Sat. So instead we are going to church then head for a 7 hour drive. This time we know to look out for a bounceback offer. We never saw one or heard anything until we got home.

I'm not gonna vote until thursday when I hopefully get the dates I want. So far the poll seems to indicate that the end of the month is gonna be the busiest, lol.

Yay! Got ASMU Family Suites Sept 1 - 8, 4 adults! Free dining here I come!

We are driving down Saturday the 13th and staying somewhere on WDW property (not sure yet where) for one night and going to Universal Sunday morning until check in on Sunday afternoon. We will then meet inlaws at WL for check in Sunday and stay until Friday afternoon and check out.

My kids start school August 4th and so the school system gives them a Fall Break the week of Sept. 15th! :)

Wow! I didn't think the Family Suites were included in the free dining. Congrats! DH and I will be there Aug 31 - Sept 7th! This will be my 40th birthday celebration trip. Maybe we'll see you down there.

Awesome! We should start preparing for DIS meets at some point. Of course if it's just us it will be a mini dis meet. :P

Booked yesterday! Officially off the fence!

Pop Aug 24 - Sept. 1 :cool1:

Late bookers, please continue to vote.

I think that the later you wait the better, so the last week possible would get my vote(that is when we are going). It would be silly to say people don't take thier kids out of school to vacation but I think that they tend to do that more toward the beginning of September/ end of August for a holiday getaway (Labor Day)
One thing to consider is that if you book extended dates toward the later part of the month of Sept. the Food & Wine Festival will begin at Epcot.
This may increase the crowds there? But also something to experience.

We are going Aug 30 - Sept 9. So far it looks like it is the least busiest time. My logic was that in Canada (& I ignorantly assumed the same for the US), school gets back in the day after labour day so many parents wouldn't want their children to miss the first day of school.

Many schools in the south start school as early as the first week of August. We'll be starting August 6. However, it seems as many schools in the north, northeast don't begin until the day after Labor Day. Therefore, I feel like a lot of these people will visit the last week of Aug., before their kids head off to school OR they will come right on the end of free dining, after their kids have been in school 2-3 weeks.

It seems like no one wants to miss the first of school. With that thought, we plan to go the week of Labor Day. I know there will mod. crowds the weekend, but I feel like they will disappear after Labor Day. Most families will not want their kids to miss the first day of school. We southerners who will have been in school for a month, (like me) will be ready for a little WDW vacation!

The crowd calendar on touring plans says that Aug. 24-30 is like 7s or 8s. But after labor day, it drops down to 4s !!

8/29 to 9/6 and we will be taking the kids out of school to go, did the same this past Jan/Feb with no problem. School starts 8/20 here

We chose 9/19 for 5 nights because while I would do the end of August, before dd(6) starts school, dh is a custodian and cannot take time off then because he needs to get the school ready for everyone to come back. So dd is missing 4 days of school.

We booked in the bounce back from last year from Sept 27th thru Oct 4th 2008. I guess this was only offered to bounce back since it is not included on the disney web site now. Did they not have F&W dates yet b/c our dates run into it. I think this will be neat but I am worried the crowds will be heavier.

We will be there from 8/26 thru 8/31! Dd starts High School on
September 2nd! So this worked perfectly for us! DS is only going into 4th grade so he was a factor my worry was with DD High School is a Big transition! :cool1:

we will be there 9/18 thru 9/25.....anyone know what the weather is like then?

We will be there Sept 19-Sept 29, staying at POP for the second time. These dates do not work out for us all to well. We prefer to be there on Oct 1 since it is our wedding anniversery, but beggers for free food can't be choosers. I had a feeling that I should have bought the bounceback last year. Lesson learned I guess. But hey, at least we are going to Disney. :thumbsup2
