I've read lots of people saying that they booked their WDW holiday and got free DDP.
I booked in July so I think I booked too early to get this offer.
What exactly did you have to book to get the free DDP? Just a Disney resort or a whole package?
I've booked through expedia so all the aspects of my trip are separate. Would I be able to get a free DDP through expedia? :confused3
Also how much does the DDP save? Is it worth cancelling the hotel booking and then rebooking to save money?

Thanks xxx

Yes it needs to be a package and is only available during ome particular time of the year Late August through to the last week in September. In the past it has mainly been through Disney, but next year it is being offered through other tour operators as well.

Here are the details for next year -

For residents of the UK only -- Disney is offering a "free dining" package for stays during the low season in 2007. Book a five-night or more stay at a select Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and a five-day or more Theme Park Ticket and receive the Disney Dining Plan for free.

Book between August 25, 2006 and November 6, 2006 for arrivals between August 12, 2007 and September 29, 2007 to get this delicious deal.

The number of rooms available for this offer is limited. Offer available to residents of UK and Northern Ireland. No group rates or other discounts apply. Applies to all new bookings only through the respective Tour Operator. Disney Dining plan is available for all persons in the party aged three or over. Guests aged three to nine must order from the children's menu where available. Disney Dining Plan cannot be transferred and no cash alternative will be given. Disney reserves the right to substitute, change or withdraw this offer at any time.

I know Virgin Holidays are offering it along with 3 free nights!

Doesn't have to be a full package.
All you have to book is you hotel and park tickets together see Disney.co.uk (link is down just now as I was going to post direct to page) book your hotel and ticket package and add you free DDP.
You can then book flights and car hire with whoever you want.

You can't add the dining plan if you've booked through Expedia. I tried to add it, but couldn't. It's worth doing the maths though as it may be worth cancelling the expedia booking and then going through direct to Disney. We booked the room and tickets through Disney at the same price as expedia and were then able to add the dining package (which we had to pay for as we're going in October) The expedia cancellation charge was only £13.39 per room.
