Free DDP Booking SUCCESS!!? - Post 'Em Here!

I am on hold too. I am booking for my mother. Is this okay? I have her cc number etc. She's at work and cant book. Should I say I am her or is it okay to explain that I am booking for her. I am so jelous, her dates are flexible so she and her sister (taking 1st trip) can take advantage of free dining. My family is going early august (still hoping for some kind of discount). Anyway, I figure it should be okay to book for her, but I don't want to wait on hold forvever and then they say she has to call herself. What does everyone think???

Success here - must have been one of the first calls because I called at 6:59 and went right through to a live person. Anyway, I told him I had a disney visa and there was a code for free dining and would he be able to book it for me. He said no problem, and we ended up with 2 different reservations, one for my family and one for my parents.

My family: 2 adults 2 under 9 - 9/22 - 9/29 POFQ 7 day MYW base, free dining, no insurance $1962.24

My parents: 2 adults 9/22 - 9/27 POFQ 4 day MYW base, free dining, no insurance $1248.16

I'm excited - free dining for the 3rd year in a row!!!

Got POP from 8/26-9/3, with 9day Disney Tixs with Water Parks, and Hopper, Free dining, and got the insurence (Decided it was worth the $120 cause of hurricanes) for $1480 for DW and myself..... AWSOME...Was on hold for 30Min

GOT IT!!

We'll be at POR from September 8-16.

I was already booked when I called....and had paid the deposit down on my Mastercard--however then I called back the next week and put $2300 down on the Visa.

Anyway, they DID have to credit the Mastercard, and charge my Visa for the $200 deposit. So apparently the deposit MUST be paid with the Visa even if you paid down other payments with the VIsa. However it was simple for her to switch, and I kept the same confirmation number.

I was on hold "only" about fifteen minutes, and the CM said I was just her second call of the day--the first one was also free dining, of course .

I'm so excited--we got to keep our first choice resort, and also saved right around $900!!!

I got through right away. Started dialing at 5:59. Anyway, I got POP for 9/17-24. $1754.86! And the code worked great! The CM I talked to was really nice and said she hadn't even heard about the code yet, but looked it up--no problem!

FYI-CM said that I could put just the deposit on my DV today, but the rest of the package would also have to be put on my DV too.

The CM I talked to told me that too--that the rest would have to be paid on the Disney Visa. Not a problem since thanks to free dining I know owe only $150.
