Free cups of water at the park?

I just wanted to make sure they were still giving out free cups of water at the park and if so, do they do it all the time or only in very hot weather? I'll still bring some bottled water but the free water will help out since we are a party of 10. You can only carry around so many bottles of water.

Careful bringing those bottles of water into the park though. If they are already opened, security won't let you bring them in!

You're kidding! We always freeze partial bottles of water, then fill them up with regular water so that we have cold water during the day - I've never had a problem bringing them into WDW. So you're saying they will make me toss them, since they've been opened?

Okay, if that's the case, then where do we get this free water?!

I'm guessing the rule is in place to try to keep out BYOB liquor during certain well-known annual festive occasions and the rest of the year it is judged to be relatively rare that someone would try to tie one on before getting on a roller coaster. Or maybe some instinct or 6th sense tells them who are the teetotalers likely to be packing only gatorade and who are the hard-core lushes ...

They do, but the cups are smaller than the ones at WDW and they don't have a lid. We just used a straw to mix in our lemonde mix.

thinking about it, last few times I went to the parks was during Halloween Horror Nights so that may have had something to do with it.

That is correct. During HHN you cannot enter with opened containers or leave with opened containers.

AND

THe open bottles of water...etc...
Is this during the hours of HHN or the Whole day as we will be there during this timeframebut willnot be attending the HHN.

You should be able to go to any of the stands around the parks and ask for free water.

Mainly just during HHN...not during the day. Since security is a lot stricter during HHN, they will not allow any open containers. But if you're going during the day, you should be fine.
