I dont see this here yet and I'm so excited. WDW is letting folks in for FREE on their birthdays. And annual passholders get extra bonues. I love love love Disney so much!!:cool1:

Any idea what passholders get? We are going in Dec and will be there on DH's birthday!

cool!!! Dfi's B-day is in may and dd's in dec the weather will be nice here in DL calif. We will skip my B-day in July-to HOT!

I love it! We are going for ds' birthday next year. We will have our passes already so we are going to get one of the other items available.

Love, love, love a freebie!!

Funny!!:rotfl: That is what my husband said! Next year is my 40th birthday in October. Maybe we can scrounge up some money to go for my big 4-0!!!! That would be sweet!

Note that this offer is only good in 2009.

I was already thinking about my birthday which falls on Columbus Day next month (an automatic three day weekend) and thinking "sure enough, the DIS board has finally cost me a fortune. I'm going to make a surprise trip to FL just to save 60 bucks. . . "

well we were planning oct for next year already. We decided to just move the dates up to the first week since that will encompass 3 b-days. ;) We've already got passes so we'll just do the birthday card thing and they can get souvenirs with it.

Well I'm taking advantage of it. DH has long ago grown tired of Disney so we haven't been in a couple of years. We live about 5 hours away and used to go 3-4 times a year, so the kids have been asking if we're ever going back. I'm going to take each of them separately for their birthdays. Their birthdays both fall on Fridays this next year, and I've always dreamed of just going one on one with each of them. I'm really excited about it!!

My thoughts exactly! This is a great deal ONLY IF you live in the area and can just "pop in" for a day here and there -- though you probably wouldn't go alone, and it's unlikely that anyone else shares your birthday, so it's not really free in that circumstance. OR if you were going to go anyway and you plan your dates to encompass your birthday.

To plan a trip because you can get one ticket day free is not exactly a budget idea!

But look at it from Disney's point of view: They're going to get LOTS of good publicity from this. That's their real "win".

Can anyone find where it says for certain the type of ticket. I assumed a one pay - one park ticket, but is it possibly a park hopper?? The kids are going to have a hard time picking just one park.

Unless you live in our family!

DH and DD share their b-day and older DD and MIL also share their b-day and younger DS and FIL are only 5 days apart and older DS is only 7days away from DH/DD's b-day.

We plan to make full use of this promo in 2009! :rotfl:

it's a one day base ticket. That is a one park ticket.

MrsPete, you are exactly right...this promotion really is only a good deal if you happen to live in the area and pop in for a day. My family is thinking about a trip in Jan, which will happen to fall over my DH's birthday, and really this promotion will save us just a couple of bucks. I will probably buy 8 day passes for the trip, so would end up just buying a 7 day pass for DH and an 8 day hopper for DS and myself. The savings is just a piddly couple of bucks.
