So I was doing laundry late last night at BWV, so to kill time, I ventured over to the arcades around 12:30 or 1:00 am.

Much to my surprise, ALL of the games had green lights and were essentially set to free play. What’s interesting is that they were typically only free for one play, but would then reset themselves within 5 mins or so. Needless to say, I played every game in the arcade and stayed up way too late.

Has anyone else experienced this at BWV or another resort? Was this a one time fluke, or does this happen all the time?

I saw that happen at Poly when someone went around and used up a game card, but didn't start the games. I was in the arcade at the time, and the guy said his kids loaded up the card, didn't use it all up, and they were leaving the next day, so he figured he'd leave some "magic" for the next players.

That would be cool.

In my case though, there was no one around to load free plays. I’m really intrigued by this.

Almost sounds like a breaker was being reset. Some older cabinet games use to power up with one credit available so that they could be tested... What you are describing sounds like something like that...

Interesting possibility. Although these games are not that old and the way they are set up, there is a card swiper that is added -- so it's not like the old quarter systems from way back when.

My guess is only based on past experience... A friend's parents use to have a couple of cabinets that would boot up with three free credits on it. So we would play the 3 credits, then unplug and replug the machines to reset them. Which I can't imagine was good for them...

I also can't imagine that Disney would be giving away free credits at all.

I may be wrong .
But I thought the arcades clsed and were locked laate at night.
