:earsboy: My friend which works in a kiosk at Disneyland for DVC told me that they are giving away two free annual passes if you become a DVC member in California.

I guess what you get is a choice between two annual passes from either the Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World.

This is a great deal but only applies if you buy in California. What a deal!

Wow! We were just there and I did see the sign that read "free gift w/purchase" That is a pretty nice gift!
All though, most castmembers new nothing about DVC and the discounts. I quess it is just still too new.

That is a nice incentive. Are they allowing people to combine it with the 15% SSR? If so that is a really good incentive.

Does this apply to add-on's too? Be worth a trip to Anaheim for that!!!

If memory serves DL AP's are much less than WDW AP's & I would assume that they are offering DL AP's to those who buy in from there. If you get a choice than I think it's a heck of a deal!

It wouldn't make any sense if they were offering AP's only in CA. There isn't even a DVC resort there yet. It seems to me that you would be able to choose which one you would want. Either way, sounds really good!!

We just signed up at the end of December when we were at DL. The annual passes are for either location and you can get the 15% as well. We did get the tote bag as well.

I'm kind of thinking that too. Or is it only for first time members?

Shoot! We just signed up on our cruise - we got the 15% at SSR, but are using our points for GC at DL this summer - could use the AP with us taking our kids and GS. :earsboy:

sure now they give away free AP's. I just bought Into DVC in September with the $1200 towards purchase I recieved a $100 DL gift card, I should have waited till this trip and purchased into DVC, haha. Plus I just renewed my AP, lol

Does anyone know when the "2 free annual passes" incentive will expire. I see from the other posts that you can choose between WDW or DL. I would rather have the WDW passes.

Thanks!

Wow. a 15% discount AND free WDW APs? I was all set to proceed on a BCV resale; now I am wondering. One thing that wasn't clear to me: do you have to be a CA resident to get this deal, or did you just have to be in CA, at Disneyland? Almost worth a day trip to Disneyland to get 2 free WDW APs!

We purchased in Oct. and got a beach bag! We were just at DL a couple of weeks ago and I saw a sign that read "Free Gift" Wow! I'll gladly exchange our beach bag! :rotfl2:

Darn! We were just there!!!!! It would almost be worth it for dh to fly down on a last minute weekend United flight. Doesn't the 15% expire on the 1st? What a savings this is! Do both spouses have to be present to buy into DVC or is it possible to fax/fed ex the contract to the other spouse? I am not able to be away from home now for medical reasons.

Yes the 15% does expire the 1st.if both of you are going to be on the contract then yes you both have to be there. You could be added as an associate. That is what we did.
I am sending you a PM.

 My dh is in Pasadena on business for 2 weeks and gave me the go-ahead buy our points, which I did. And to think I could have just sent him to buy them and gotten APs to boot! Oh well, he would have been really cranky at being sent out to Anaheim while trying to get business done...
