Frederick Md.-US 15, US 340-directions needed

Will be heading down US 15 from Gettysburg in an attempt to hook up with US 340 and then down to Luray caverns. On the map it does not appear that I can access 340 from 15 (near Frederick) w/o some driving on/off I-70. And that has me worried.
So can I get to 340 from 15 easily? Any help will be appreciated!!!

Just keep following the 340 signs and you'll be fine. When I drove thru that area last Christmas, I remember the map was a lot more confusing than just following the signs on the roads. I think there were a few turns/exits, but nothing difficult to follow.

If you stay on 15S it will lead you directly to 340. Do NOT get on I70.

THat's what I thought--. But AAA and Mapquest both have me getting on I-70!!
Maybe faster?? But I certainly don't want to get on 70 if I don't have to.

In fact, looks to me like I can just stay on 340 all the way to Luray. Both AAA and mapquest have me geting off 340 at RT 7 and going ovr to I-81.....?
