Thanks for the offer of your DD! My daughter was with her 2 Aunts and they had the trip all planned out because they had been to Boston many times before so they were fairly knowledgable of the area. It's good to know your DD loves it there. It makes me feel a little easier to thing about mine going there, even if it isn't for 4 more years!

Sorry to hear about your rough night! I hate nothing more than when a mosquito is in my room at night!!!

And I think the acronym would be @$$

As to the mosquito- I was sleeping in DS's room (he had a sleepover so they were in my room- little TV in there). I usually put my ceiling fan on high and have no problems- my bed is under it. It's been so chilly a night I did not want to use DS's window fan, so I was plagued with my little friend... .
I get wicked reactions to noseums, but not mosquitos. I end up with cellulitis and have to take antibiotics. This happens in the spring when I start yardwork without my long pant/high boot attire. You would think I would remember year to year, but some years I forget.

DD just filled her gas tank for 2.09 a gallon.
We have Stop and shop stores around here. The give you points for every dollar you spend. Once you reach 500 points you can get a dollar off a gallon. We had over 800 points so she was able to save 1.69 a gallon.

WOW thats great. I always go the Shaws but they are not so coupon friendly anymore But sounds like Stop and Shop is going to be my new shopping grounds..What gas stations do you have to use?

You have to use thier gas staion. Some of the stop and shops have a gas station.

Oh my goodness...we were on the third page! Everyone must be very busy this weekend! We have a hurricane headed our way so when my husband gets home from golf we will be headed out for some extra supplies and battening (sp?) down the hatches! So everyone send your vibes down to Fay to keep staying small! We made it through a catagory 4, but any size really stinks! And it is scheduled to hit on the first day of schoool so I have a feeling that will be cancelled, my daughter is very disappointed.

By the way Kellie (and anyone who was wondering about eurekababe) that's my MOM! So I will be posting a pic of my daughters haircut for her as soon as I can...we've got other things to do right now.

I can sympathize with your DD- I lived for the first day of school. I can't imagine what I would have done if it was cancelled .
As for me, we have had a break in the rain (nothing for the last 4 days- I swear it rained for 3 weeks straight) so I am off to catch up on lawn mowing. I mow for myself and my mom, and the grass is so high I can't even lower the mower deck. It's like I'm haying . And to top it off, the lawn looks butt ugly when I'm done- all scraggly with some mud ruts. Hopefully the dry weather will continue and I can go over it again tomorrow at a lower height.

Have fun with that mowing! My husband does ours and a neighbors, so with the rain we get down here in the summer I know exactly what you're talking about!

Keep safe!!!! I will be adding prayers a really small rain cloud Really the worst we get in the northeast is a snowstorm or an ice storm and those we can stay in and just keep warm, I couldn't imagine the damage of the hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes

We just got back Saturday from going to AL to see family, now to get ready for a possible hurricane, YUCK! It doesn't look like it will be a big deal, I've been through plenty before, I just hope they didn't get the intensity wrong! Thats always the hardest to predict. HADLEYSUN-I hope ya'll don't get anything too bad, if at all. Your area sure doesn't need any hurricanes to worry about! (oh, and to your mom!)

I guess if I am stuck inside tomorrow and Wed., I can at least catch up on whats been going on here and the Freebie thread!

Hey all! We got the shutters on the windows and I'm gonna finish moving all our lanai furniture today, so we're ready. We figure since we are well prepared it will go somewhere else or piddle down to nothing
Right now it's no biggie, but we'll be watching it. Our town definately doesn't need another big one. We are finally getting finished putting the town back together from Charley and he was 4 years ago!

MMKK, Fay could very well come up there so I hope you're ready, too!

My party turned out great- of course, WAY too much food! And DH makes the best bartender- your wish is his command! He came home from the liquor store on Saturday morning and told me he had a surprise- he pulls out Vanilla Vodka and Godiva Chocolate liquor!!! He said he is making chocolate martinis for us that night!

He just added a smidge of half and half and OMG! YUM!

Stay safe Florida Freaps! I hope Fay doesn't turn into something ugly. My brother is all freaked out over it. My SIL, who is a total country girl that has barely ever left Kentucky, left for Destin yesterday for a conference. It was her first airplane trip EVER and it looks like she might get her first hurricane experience too. I was trying to explain to my brother where Destin is and that I don't think he needs to worry too much but you know how paranoid people are.

I am planning on doing most of our prep work tomorrow-DH will be home and hopefully my shoulder will feel better-I have either pinched a nerve or pulled a muscle and its KILLING me! My mom called from AL and asked me what our plans were-I told her we were staying because its only supposed to be at most a CAT 1. She freaks out when all her kids aren't under one roof!

there are a lot of paranoid people out there! It doesn't look like its going her way so I don't think (at least currently I don't think-that could change in two hours with hurricanes) she has to worry!

Oh, and I almost forgot to share with yous guys! I rebooked a reservation for Disney this morning!!! Since the discounts came out, and I have an opportunity to make some extra money we didn't previously think I had, DH is considering going. AND, his family may be going as well! We may not make it back to AL for Christmas this year and one of his brothers is already planning on being at Disney before Christmas so we are hoping the other brother and his family can come to and his parents are definitely interested in coming, so can someone say GRAND GATHERING!!!!

Now I gotta make another TICKER!
