Quick question about your neck of the woods... what were your suggestions on where to camp in the fall around Natural Bridge? I love insider info!! We'd like to go for "fall break" (Oct. 16-19) It's their birthday 'weekend' too... can't believe my babies will be 9
A cautionary note about that weekend though...you will have a hard time getting a campsite at Natural Bridge itself since the Woolly Worm Festival is in Beattyville right down the road. The campgrounds there fill up really fast. If you decide to go to Koomer Ridge though, I don't see you having a problem.

I am a daily lurker (mostly) on the freebie thread but I never got around to coming over here. My DD14 just told me the funniest story and I thought ya'll might appreciate it!
I'm sure I am like you and receive all varieties of free things in the mail--towels, tshirts, toiletries, dog food, tv remotes, and other cool things from Bzz Agent, etc. DH and the kids will often ask where'd you get____? And I'll say "It was free!" (That's when they roll their eyes sometimes)
So DD wakes up and says she had the "Awesomest" dream. She dreamed that we got an iPod in the mail with "a huge number of Gigs" (her words) and then I said "I got it for free--from the freebie thread--do you want it?" Shhe grabbed it and plugged it in and it was full of all the songs she's been wanting to download.

It's so funny you say that.....the mom in me stands/sits there at the top of the hill watching him on the field going oh, oh, oh, be careful, is he all right, get up, I can't watch while the competitive jock in me screams kick his butt, push back, dig in, run harder while the well behaved mommyfan sneaks a thumbs up at him to let him know that when he's peeking at us to see if we were watching that last play, that we saw it too
HIGH SCHOOL ....Lots of shopping! Plus she joined the golf team and they have been practicing every day this week. It's just far enough away that it doesn't pay to turn around and come home, so my son and I just sit in the car and read. Which is actually kind of nice...had some time to find some new recipes for dinners (I like to read cookbooks from the library...weird? ), and I'm actually reading my daughters books Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and something dawn? They are Stephanie Myers books that she has been begging me to read because she loves them soooooo much! I poopoo'd her for awhile, but now that I've started I love them, too! I'm on the third and I just started reading them this past weekend! So that's where I've been! Sitting in a minivan reading! 
Do ya'll remember me saying we had a bat living under the siding next to our master bedroom? Well...yesterday evening, we built a campfire in the backyard and were laying on a blanket looking at the stars. Right about the time it started getting dark, DH says "Oh, look. There goes our bat." Then, one after another, bats start flying out from a corner of our roof that was messed up in a storm back in the spring-15 in all!!!!!I thought it was sweet to have one up there, but I'm not so sure how I feel about THAT many.
But now I'm off and running, got to get my daughter to a hair cut, then to the mall! It's the first day of free tote bags at Aeropostle (there's a coupon on page 86 of Seventeen) and I'm a good freap mom and have put her into cheap training! She loves it! Got our panties (Seventeen) and mascara (Lucky) from Macy's on Wed. and I promised her we'd use one of my free Starbucks cards today to pick up a little treat!
