I'll string them while I watch Sweeney Todd that came from Netflix today. Am I going to hate that movie? I know Madd didn't care for it, but I really like musicals most of the time.

Do you want to hear torture??? I love my mom to death- it was her b-day and she wanted to see Mamma Mia- .......and I took her!

Most people that know me know my famous saying when I speak of musicals- "I would rather poke myself in the eye with a fork than sit through a musical"

I thought Momma Mia was WAY over the top in the drama department- I told one of my friends, I wanted to scream out in the theater, at the screen, for everyone to SETTLE DOWN with the dancing and singing!

Even the speaking dialogue was way too dramatic!

So, even though Sweeney had JD in it- nope- would never see it again.

SO- Marna- if you like musicals you should not have a problem!

Come on- admit it- don't some of you just want to start giggling real loud when they start singing a really corny song

Hey, I don't mind corny at all. What I can't tolerate is SAPPY! Anything that attempts to make you sad, ect. just makes me want to barf. I loathe all the parts of Disney movies with crap by Elton John or that "Whole New World" kind of junk. I probably would like Mamma Mia though since I loved ABBA when I was a kid.

Hey, I don't mind corny at all. What I can't tolerate is SAPPY! Anything that attempts to make you sad, ect. just makes me want to barf. Heads up everyone...it looks like the TNT houseparty is about to send out the invites. It's moved to the current side and has it's map in place and all. On another sight I read that some people had gone on and searched their own name under "people" and some of them had an additional party added to their count. So I tried it and sure enough it says I have had 6 parties, but I have only had 5 so far...so I'm hoping that means I got in! I've been excluded from so many houseparties and bzz campaigns lately that this would be a happy reprieve!

I looked under my name and it says (1) parties!!! Woo hoo!! I've never gotten one before so maybe I'm about to get one! bnf2-where are you and your DH from? I was born and raised in Beattyville but live between Mt. Sterling and Morehead now. My DH is from Versailles.

Beattyville....hmmm... I've heard the name, but can't place it. I know exactly where Mt. Sterling is; went to EKU back in the 80's when it was wild party school My mom works in Frankfort at KSU, so I know where Versailles is as well. Mt. Sterling, Versailles- that's all so pretty there- No. Ky has noooooo landscape! Too close to Cincinnati I guess.

I'm from Mt. Washington- south of Louisville and DH is from Franklin- south of Bowling Green. He moved to No. Ky after college, we met on a blind date (a high school friend of mine ended up being his roommate at WKU) and that's how I ended up here.

Small world, huh?

ETA: OK, found Beattyville... no wonder I'd heard the name. Pretty close to Richmond! I worked with the HS band in Irvine while I was at EKU-and that's even closer!

OK... you are close to Natural Bridge- haven't been there since I was a kid and want to take the kids camping there- go now or wait until fall? Or both?

I say wait until fall. Of course, I hate camping when it's hotter than you-know-what out. Fall in Eastern Kentucky is the most beautiful perfect time of year as far as I'm concerned. We normally try to camp one weekend in the fall either at Koomer Ridge Campground which is run by the USFS or Zilpo which is right on Cave Run Lake. The campgrounds at the state park are nice too. My parents actually live less than 5 miles as the crow flies from there so I know the area very well.

No. I had to work last night which means I'm operating on less than 3 hours sleep. I'm going to try to make it through it tonight if I can without passing out. I'm hoping it's weird/gruesome enough to keep me awake.

i really hope thats true. i went looking for my name and it says hosting 3 parties but i've only ever hosted 1 and signed up for the fisher price one and the tnt one. crossing my fingers

Hmmmmm??? I think if that theory were true, then you should have heard about the FP one arlready...it looks kind of full! Maybe it's not accurate after all....??? Not that I was really relying on it, but it left some hope!

Some squeemish people might say it is gruesome- but it is not really- the blood is really RED and it looks fake. But man when he drops those people from his chair- that is a little disturbing the way they land Distrubing yet- WHY was I laughing

Yeah, I don't like to camp in the hot either- unless it's on a lake and we have the boat with us- but at least our camper has A/C, so sleeping is pretty comfy We've camped at Zilpo before... in our tent... when it was hotter than....

I think we will save Nat. Bridge for the fall. DH wants to take the kiddos to the KY State Fair since they've never been... talk about hot! We'll probably camp at General Butler- it'll be just 30 min. away from Louisvile... unless anyone knows of a better place to camp near L'ville

Sorry, I don't know of any campgrounds around Louisville. We're going to try to hit the state fair on the 18th(a Monday) this year. We could have a mini-Freap meet if you want. We also have to run across the river to the Bass Pro Shop to pick up a new tent for our beach camping trip. We are way too tight in our 4 person, even though 2 of the persons are small. We are getting the Columbia Cougar Flats 2-room tent and I have $125 in gift cards for the Bass Pro Shop. To order through the mail, I would have to pay about $25 shipping!

madd- I'm not very squeamish and will most likely be laughing as well.
JD singing and chopping has to just be hilarious.

My kids start school on the 18th so we have to go Fri, Sat or Sun. Too bad- a mini-dis meet would have been fun... and DH would have totally tagged along to Bass Pro!!! He works about 10 min. from one and every once in while he'll say his day had been so bad he had to go to BPro during lunch to get away from it all Then I always ask to see what's in the bag!!!

Where is your beach trip? I've been trying to talk DH into a beach camping trip forever. We've not taken the kids to the beach since they were 2! I won't complain too much as all other vacations have been to Disney

Well, we're off to King's Island today and DH will meet us after work. Hope everyone has a great day!

I did the search. It did not work for me. But it worked for one of my friends.
I did get the TNT house party. I got a reject letter for the fisher price. But I was only doing that one for a family member and she got it. So all is good.

Like you Hadley I seem to not get anymore bzz offers.

Natalie-we go camping at Edisto Island, SC. DH and I used to go several times a year but haven't been in a long time. If you plan in advance you can reserve a campsite at the state park right on the beach. It is an awesome state park and has probably a mile or more shoreline with great shell collecting. The town is very small with just a couple restaurants, rental homes and seafood markets. Definately no high-rise hotels and not many junky souvenir shops. It is also less than an hour out of Charleston which is a great place to tool around if you get tired of the beach.
