...Sounds like my doc today- My back went out AGAIN! (it has only been 5 months ago that it went out in Mexico!) So I went to the doc for more percocets (this is the last time- if it goes out again- I am going for the steroid shot) We were talking about Disney and I said I love the Tower of Terror etc and she said I should not be riding any of those kinds of rides with my back the way it is! Hello?:listen: Did I hear you right? My BACK will be infringing upon my DISNEY LIFE!? This can't be!:sad2: I can't be "one of the warnings" on the rides- people with bad backs cannot ride this ride- I just CAN'T!:sad1:
Oh yes it can! Welcome to the club! sigh :guilty: It's a hard realization, isn't it? :sad2:

Hey wait:sad1: - can't the Tower of Terror be passed off as some kind of warped version of spinal decompression???:scratchin

What would be your ideal car?

I started out looking for information on our first Disney Trip in 2006. I found the scrapbook board after that and now I don't think I could not check up on the people I've come to know and weirdly, care about.

I love the Buzz Lightyear ride/game. But I'm betting I will like Toy Story better. ;)

A hybrid mini cooper, it would better if it ran on H2O, but that's not happening anytime soon.

I thought of some questions

1. What is your favorite beverage?

2. What's your favorite color?

3. What do you refuse to pinch pennies on?

My answers:

1. Cherry coke

2. Purple

3. Groceries

Okay my answers
Dunkin Donuts Coffee

I am with you Groceries

OH NO! :scared1: He just ripped your heart out and stomped on it!:guilty:

I can always count on a wench to keep my secrets!:thumbsup2

My answers:

Fall
Mexico
England (English Countryside- not the city) maybe Greece. OK and Italy.

Oh madd sorry your back went out. You so can not be one of those do not ride this if you blah blah blah type people.
I with you on the England Country side DD went to England a few years ago. She loved it. But they where there when the bombs went off. Luckly they missed the tube. Thank god girls take forever getting ready in the morning

We still have passes for WDW....when they are used up, I don't think we will ever end up back there again. DH likes Epcot but now he says he would rather go to the country than just get a taste of it at Epcot. For the price we pay to get to WDW from Montana, we probably could go to Europe! :confused3

I am having such a weird week. DH was in the worst mood he has been in for years on Monday. It put everybody else in a bad mood! :headache: He went out of town this morning and won't be back until Thursday evening and everybody is starting to relax around here now.

This morning, I was backing up at the Post Office and I look back into my back window and there is this 'older gentleman' standing right behind my vehicle, glaring at me through that back window. I stopped, and he slowly walked over to the curb and then turned around and yelled at me. After what I went through with DH yesterday, that was not a smart move for this poor soul.

I don't usually do this but I rolled down my window and yelled back at him. He was yelling that he was the pedestrian and he had the right of way. I yelled back that I didn't see him back there and I was sorry. He kept yelling at me that I should have seen him and I should have seen him in my mirrors...."use your mirrors". That was it....I yelled back at him that I had not seen him but he must have seen me, right? He looked a little surprised at that. He yelled something at me again so I repeated it: I didn't see you but you saw this vehicle was moving, right?? This interaction continued a couple of more volleys and then he gave up and walked away.

For Pete's Sake....why does a pedestrian put themselves in harm's way just to make a point!!??? ARRRRRGGGG! :headache:

I told DS I am having such a bad week. He said, "Mom, it's only Tuesday". :rotfl2:

I hope everybody else is having a better week than I am....that would make me feel better! :cutie:

MT sorry you are having a bad week already. Never god to say it is a bad week when it is only Tuesday and you are saying it

No! No! No! I am in denial right now!:scared1:

Actually, I believe very strongly in reverse psychology and I was hoping things would turn around if I said it out loud. :rotfl2:

Ice cream (preferably Blue Bell,) Lost, Old Navy flip flops.

I love popcorn, too, but I'm allergic to it. People seem to offer it to me all the time, too. I'm fairly certain that they're trying to kill me.
I am curious about this. Are you allergic to regular corn or corn syrup? How did you find out you were allergic?

I'm actually allergic to corn starch, which means that I can't have popcorn, dextrose, or splenda. Oddly enough, I can eat corn. I'm guessing that I would have a reaction if I ate a huge quantity of it, though. I have to read labels on everything.

I found out that I was allergic to it shortly after I turned 28. I started having heart palpitations. I started keeping a food diary and finally realized that I was having them every time I ate something with cornstarch in it.

Oddly enough, at the same time, I became allergic to poison ivy, cats, grass, and pollen.

Wow, Alesia, it sounds like you had a system overload to develop allergies like that! Were you under alot of stress at the time these allergies progressed?

Ah-ha! My week is turning around already! DS got a call from his high school and they want him to pose in the school poster/calendar that will be distributed throughout the county in this coming school year. There will be a student representative from every activity the high school offers, from sports to music, in this poster and they are about 3' x 2'....on the walls of local businesses, government offices, and throughout the school this coming year. :rotfl:

DS is thrilled to be asked! This will be his senior year and it should be a fun one!

HI everyone...I have never been to a chat before:lovestruc

Sure, but remember you must give us your REAL name, REAL address, and a REAL phone number :rotfl: I always register freebies under my maiden name with a fake phone number ;) You will be getting 700 Soy Joy bars and various sized lime green underwear in 8-10 weeks :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Did you by chance have a child around that time frame? Alot of time hormonal changes (like a pregnancy) will set off stuff like that. Also if one of your parents had allergies that became prominent in adulthood vs. since birth, you will be more likely to be symptomatic as you get older.

Madd....I too have a herniated disc in my lower back (right where a tramp stamp tattoo would go  ) and have to watch out how I do certain things - lifting heavy objects, wrestling with the kids and husband :rolleyes1 , sitting in a car for too long of a time period, etc. - and am a statistic too when it comes to a *caution* status on thrill seeking rides. I have found that as long as I am feeling good and don't over do it I don't have an issue going on those rides. I'm not saying anyone should and I am definitely not a medical professional but I am saying in my experience that I have been able to go on a couple rides and not have a flare up. I wouldn't say go on Tower of Terror 3x in a row but I would spread out RnR and the Tower in a full day at the park.

Hmmmmm, posting naughty wench pictures and NOW your back goes out :confused3 :rolleyes1

As the famous lyracist Vanilla Ice sang......Ice, Ice, baby  With my back Ice became my BFF. Whenever I have a flare up I start icing immediately and can usually prevent a full blown can't stand up straight back issue. I hope it starts feeling better quickly! There are few pains that totally suck - back & toothache are two that seem to be all consuming and you cannot function when you are going through it. :guilty: How is your mattress and couch? If it (the mattress) doesn't have enough support it could be contributing to your back issue and if the couch is squishy vs. firmer it could also be harming not helping you. I really took a look at everything from office chair at work, posture, shoes I wear, to the furniture in my house and KNOW which things are just asking for trouble with my back.

Back to favorites:
Drink- coffee (everyday); Capt'n Morgan & Coke (when I don't have to drive-rarely-:lmao: )
Color- red
No pinching pennies- Aunt Flo supplies  (It's a bit like the scene from Terms of Endearment at the register; "But Mom, those aren't even on sale and you don't have a coupon. Why are you buying those???")

Nope, no pregnancy. A lot of people that I know developed seasonal allergies the same year I did, though. Must have been a bad year for pollen.

I am so glad you have gotten some good news! Congrats to your son!
Nope, no pregnancy. A lot of people that I know developed seasonal allergies the same year I did, though. Must have been a bad year for pollen.

this seems a bit odd that several people got allergies all about the same time! I guess I'm too much of a suspicious person and would start thinking things like " is there something different that happened to our area-new building going in nearby, power plant installed?" :rotfl:

Hmmmmm, posting naughty wench pictures and NOW your back goes out :confused3 :rolleyes1

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: Are these the same green underwear that were the Freebies? hmmm.... I missed that one-aw shucks! But if they were lime green then I could wear them with pride of the DIS!

Yeah for DS. He is going to love his senior year. DD had so much fun senior year in high school. I always teased her and said you know you still need to learn. :rotfl2:

Kellie,

Good luck tomorrow! I will be sending prayers & pixie dust your way :thumbsup2 Hopefully you will be able to go home afterwards :flower3:

Is the procedure tomorrow? I know you will be so glad to get this over with. Have John let us know how you are doing and you take it easy after.
