As promised,(two weeks ago ), here's a pic of me and the kids on a hike.

Kellie, how are you feeling? Please tell us that you are laying around taking it easy. Now that Shauna is home are you spending a lot of "girl" time just hanging out and chatting?

Took a long drive today- had a doctor appt 40 miles north. So, my DS11 cheap was with me and was so into the DD iced coffee give away that we stopped three times. So, I am now pretty tweaked and constantly need to use the facilities. I'll be enjoying this freebie for quite sometime. Off to watch Betty and 30Rock. Catch you all later when the insomnia kicks in!!!

Not sure if you are all in hiding today- I sure feel like I should be!

I am having on of those "blah" days again and it is raining like crazy

And to make matters worse- we are building a porch onto our house. Right now it is framed but no screens are in it yet. Well- A little bird is trying to build a nest up in the rafters- It has only been 2 days since she has been working on it and DH said it has to go b/c he needs to close it in this weekend He told me to knock it down. Of course, if there were eggs in it- we would not. So I climb up on the ladder and no eggs- so I tip it over. I felt like crying in the mental state I am in today.

So I brought a birdhouse from the front and put it out back in hopes she will find it and make a new nest.

AND THEN! My cousin's wife is pregnant. Well! he and I joke about everything and anything- NOTHING is sacred when we joke- NOTHING and NOBODY! He sent me an e-mail today telling me his wife went for an ultrasound and it is a 50% chance it is a girl he is such a dork....

anyway- I then get an e-mail with the ultrasound pics- in one pic, the baby has it's mouth wide open- and is facing the "camera" so, of course, being ME- I write back that I could have sworn I saw a sketch of something that looked like that on a SciFi special about alien abductions- I went on to say that that looks exactly like the being that abducted these people....I hit send....and guess what???

THE PICS WERE FROM HIS WIFE NOT HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have almost identical e-mail addresses and I only looked at it for a second and thought it was from him!

OMG- I had to e-mail her back and tell her to pass on the msg to her husband, I told her my msg to her was.......OOOOOO, How cute!

I feel so bad- b/c I do not think she thinks we are as funny as we do when we bust on each other


It sounds like something Elaine would do in a Seinfeld episode

I'm sorry madd, but I was laughing like crazy at the idea of what expression must have been on your face when you realized what you had done. That is toooo funny. Hopefully she has a little sense of humor.

As for feeling blah, I know what you mean. It is cold and gray here today and I have been in a cleaning frenzy trying to get the house ready for DD's b-day party on Sunday. The good news is I'M DONE!!!! Well....except for putting away a bunch of clean clothes laying on the couch. I am making DH take me out to eat tonight. It's the least he can do since this party was his brilliant idea. The way my luck runs, he'll call about 5:00 and say "We're running late getting back home. It'll be about 8:00 before I get there." It never fails whenever he goes somewhere with his boss. His boss must not like his home life since he never gets in any hurry to get back.

I was telling DH (who, of course, was cracking up!) I told him I felt like I was in a movie- when all of a sudden everything gets silent and all you can see in LARGE LETTERS is her e-mail address after I hit send! and me, in slow mo- screaming....noooooooooooooooooo! for the love of god, nooooooooooooooooooooooo!

.....it was a HORROR movie!

Madd - sounds like your having a crazy day, but hopefully the cousin's wife isn't too hormonal and will just laugh it off! Our secretary did something like that not too long ago, were she was talking about another admin, luckily she didn't name her, she only referred to her in the email as "she". Well, she accidently emailed it to the woman she was talking about! She played it off, but saying she was talking about someone else. So these things do happen I think more often.

Here in Chicago, it's a beautiful sunny day! FINALLY!

Madd, I did something like that too once,

My DS's class had all of the parents on a yahoo group and everyone was p.o.ed with me because I had DS's full time aide "removed" from the class room (she essentially was helping everyone and anyone but my son - amongst other things - and the fact that the principal did so immediately without question just proves my point...anyways) a well meaning mom emailed me asking how I was holding out and I replied that I felt like a pirayah and that I was been shunned from the community because my child has Asperger's Syndrome.

Well, I hadn't realized that she'd cc'd the whole group and I somehow did a reply all EEEKKKK...

I was mortified

I was upstairs in my bedroom with the pillow over my head when my DH walks in and tells me it could be worse. "NO IT CAN'T" I yelled at him...

Then he tells me "Actually it can - you spelled pirayah wrong"

I made him pick up the kids from school for the next two weeks

OMG- there was a girl that worked for us years ago. An attorney called and he was being a real jerk. Well, she asked me to go get our supervisor so she can talk to the atty.

As she was giving the heads up to our supervisor about the conversation and what a jerk and everything else he was ($%$#@^ and a &^%%$##@!!!) She looked down and she never put the phone on hold!!!

Oh- he loved it! He complained to our boss that he wanted this girl to write an apology to him for what she said. Of course, our boss said to write it and then went on to call the guy a $#@%&& and a ^%$#@ also

I am so glad you are having some sunshine- sometimes I like the rain, but today I have it coming from all angles- feeling yucky and the rain just makes everything worse.

But- tomorrow we are going to our first YARD SALE and we are doing a FLEA MARKET!

Me and the boys had our yard sale today! They made $140 for their souvies at WDW next month. I am officially tired and sore. Have to say, this is the first year we have only did the yard sale Saturday only, but we did much better than when we split it over 2 days. There were more people out looking for deals.

Sounds like everyone is busy today....how is everyone's Sunday?

Tinker, what a wonderful report about your new 'pup'! She looks so contented.

It has been raining for the past week or so and now has gotten HOT and the weedy stuff is blooming. I woke up with allergies from heck exploding this morning. I took something for it and now I just sit, dazed, and staring at the computer. Why do I live out in the country??? Oh, yeah, the rest of my family is here.....! I so much would like DH to give up on cattle and us move into a little place with little or no lawn to take care of! I want to travel for a while!!

With the gas situation, DH asked me if he should get a motorcycle. I know he does not want a motorcycle....you know, one of those loaded questions. I said sure....he dropped his jaw.

We're both too overweight for a motorcycle....give us white wigs and red hats and kids will be pointing...."hey, there goes Santa and Mrs. Claus on a motorcyle"!

We finally tried the Reduced Fat Wheat Thins this weekend. I got both Country French Onion and Roasted Garlic & Herb. DH and I agreed that the French Onion is the best of the two...I think someone else had posted that earlier. The Garlic & Herb is TOO strongly flavored. DH suggested I crush the rest of them up and use them to make meatloaf. He thought they would give it a good flavor if I didn't use any other seasonings....the flavor is that strong. So, we won't be buying any more of the Garlic & Herb.
