Last night I started bawling and my dh asked me what was wrong (it's been a while since I talked about my mom) and I told him it was because people were being so nice...

He was like OK...

In case you hadn't noticed I love frogs. Being French Canadian (born and raised in Ottawa, didn't really speak english until I was 4yrs and didn't go to an english speaking school until high school), being called a "frog" is supposed to be "insulting". I EMBRACE my inner frog. Funny that your frog is nailing tinkerbell:rotfl:

Here are a few of my favs...

Ok, now I really do have to get off of my butt and get dressed - I have a friend picking me up for our weekly costco/bj's run at 10 and I and still in my jammies

I have heard of the French being called "frogs" too, in a derogatory way. What does that mean, I think it is just strange...makes no sense.:confused3

Sorry so many of the Freaps are under the weather. I'm feeling pretty crummy today too with an itchy throat, cough and a fever. Add that to the icky rash that I've been calling the mange:rotfl2: , and I am not happy. I do have something to cheer about, though:cheer2: , DH has come around to the idea of a WDW trip if they offer free DDP in Sept. again. WooHoo!
I am sorry to hear you don't feel well....I don't have a fever or rash....I have just enough to make me grouchy. What are the temps in Orlando in September?

I like this one the best:

...MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now- I will have to wait to hear from him to see if he ended up going and I will have to cx the appt I made for him tomorrow!:sad2:

I told him be SURE to tell the doc you are going to, that this ALWAYS settles in your chest and give you something STRONG to knock this out b/c you are going on vacation! ARGHHHHHH! ARRRGHHHHH!
Madd, don't forget....you can buy antibiotics without a prescription in Mexico. :thumbsup2

Ok, I know it is not polite to steal from my FREAP friends but this guy

reaches me on soooooo many levels some days!! :lmao:

'Ya know, some days you just need to let it out with tears anyway! :goodvibes

OMG MARNA! That is great your DH came around- and just how did you get him to do that!?:rotfl2:

Get this- DH has been sick since Monday- started with a sore throat, he usually gets this every Jan/Feb and he WAITS to go to the doc until it finally settles in his chest and he can't stop coughing- SO- yup- it has now settled in his chest.

I was freaking out this morning- he is SO stubborn and will never go to the doc until he is so sick- but I am asking him WHY in the world are you waiting this time???- we are leaving Sat!?- I called to make an appt with the NP today- she is booked up until tomorrow morning. So I made him an appt @ 9:15am.

I call DH to tell him this, he says, well, I will try and go to the doc down the street- I said- "OOOHHHHH! NOW you want to rush to the doc RIGHT NOW THE STREET FROM YOU- that you could have went to on Monday!!!!???":scared1: :headache: :confused3

Let me tell you about MY man, and his sickness. He has been sick for 3 WEEKS. He went to the DR.(big thing, he knew he was sick) 2 weeks ago and got a script for antibiotic and some nose spray. He hasn't gotten any better. He had been taking one tab per day. I asked him about a week into the meds, "are you taking it twice a day?" (being the med dispenser in this house for kids and dogs, I know that most antibiotics are twice a day..) He reads it again...'No, IT'S ONE PER DAY." "Are you sure, usually it's twice a day." "NO(note irritation in his voice here) IT'S ONE PER DAY..."

Well yesterday whatever made him read it again...he reads it and it says one tablet TWICE a day..ARRGGGGHHH!!!! So now I have to call the Dr. and tell them what he did and can we have another round and do it right this time...

I told him that was really dumb and I would have to tell all my Dis friends how dumb it was...He wasn't happy...

Are you two getting into a little trouble over on the scrapbooking threads? Just let us know, we got your back...
thanimated93.gif

Well, being your friend, I am obliged to laugh: :lmao: ;)

by only taking one per day, he has probably mutated this bug into a super bug that can't be stopped..

I am off to the phone to call in meds for DH and Dog...later y'all...

Oh, you can bet money on that! :sad2: And with my luck, the doctor would not refill the prescription when I call in....they would tell me he has to come back in to see the doctor. I hate dealing with doctors! :headache: I am not used to having my authority questioned. :rolleyes1

Nope, no trouble ma'am. :rolleyes1

Actually, they are hoot over there too. They have a naughty mat and send people there all the time. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: This is like the hubby bashing thread this morning! I LOVE it! But I can't add anything at the moment because mine is home at the moment and keeps floating by! I'll have to save my B****ing for later! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: VENT LADIES VENT!

Good morning FREAPS! Well, I am feeling even worse today.:sad2: DH had strep throat 2 weeks ago so that's probably what it is. I definately don't "do" doctors unless things get really dire. But, Madd, if I was going to Mexico, I would sure be going in to make sure I didn't feel crummy on vacation. Hopefully your Dh will get his act together in time.

With all the frog talk I have to tell you about my DH's t-shirt from Frog's Leap vineyard in Napa Valley. It has the cutest frog on it and says "Time's fun when you're having flies.":rotfl2: My DH is a frog fan too.

Oh...I forgot to ask...anyone got a hangover??? There seemed to be a lot of drinking going on here last night! :lmao:

You need to get to the doctor right away. If you do have strep, it is dangerous to let it go PLUS medication will immediately make you feel better....as opposed to a cold with a sore throat that may or may not respond to meds. Get over to that walk-in clinic, girl, and get that culture!! Hope you feel much better soon.

It's not that easy. I'm stuck with both kids today and the walk in clinics around here are downright scary.:scared1: Even my regular doctor is 30 minutes away.:sad2: So I'm just gonna hope for the best.

Awww. Did DH get meds for his strep? If so, call his doctor and tell them you think you have it now and see if they will let you walk in and have a nurse (or someone) do a culture. Maybe that would be quick and you could manage with the kids. I know it is so hard to accomplish things when you are drained and feeling so lousy. Maybe the doctor's office can help you out with doing the test today.

Just give DH the meds for the dog :confused3

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

At least the dog listens and follows orders :rolleyes1

I did call the DR..after a litany of "don't leave a message for so-and-so on a Tuesday, and don't leave a message for this, don't leave a message for refills...(what good is the voice mail???), they said I have to call the pharmacy and have them fax a refill request. That was fun detailing the story of my DH to the pharmacist. I am hoping the Dr. will just chalk this up to stupidity and call in the script..it was hard enough to get him to go to the DR. the first time.

The good news is, the Dogs script will be waiting for me to pick up at the vet's .. no problemo..maybe I can just give the meds to DH instead..

message to madd....Don't go near your DH or let him touch you until he is better..that is the rule and incentive for him to get hisself to the DR....!!

Men, you have to pity them, they are so inferior....:cool2:

pperfectmom...I have been to that scary clinic, too. You wonder what everybody has that brought them there..

Okay DH is freaking out. I had a mamogram today and the DR just called and wants to see both of us at 7:00 tormorrow night. He seems to think this is bad. I keep trying to calm him down but it is not working. I think it is time to start :drinking1

Thank goodness you are keeping DH calm! Shouldn't it be the other way around???:rotfl:

I will be thinking of you tonight- I hope it's ALLLLLL GOOD news!

I HATE after I get my mammo and my GYN has to call me- My heart drops when I hear his voice on the other end of the phone- he does it ALL the time!:guilty:
