FREAP CHAT ~ Everyone Welcome!

Regarding pics at Disney...I think they should install streaming cameras like they have in the keys! Then we could all drag our families over to the cameras and wave at our fellow Freaps and Meaps! :lmao: Can't you just pictures us holding up signs like on the Today show!:lmao:

I think that is a great idea!! I would spend even more time wishing I were someplace else.

Well good freebie day. I got so many things. I do not even rember signing up for some of them:lmao: :lmao: I think someone needs to get me a bigger mail box for Christmas. I do not like it when my freebies are hang out of my mail box.:lmao:
But on a bad note DH has been on the road since 2:00 trying to get home. It is normally a 40 minute ride for him. He is going to try and make it to DD college and crash there tonight. I do not think he is happy.

I feel for you guys. My DH just got home yesterday after driving from Montana to Savannah...took him 5 days...he kept trying to figure out the best time to avoid snow and storms, and picked about the worst day to leave that he could. He followed that storm that covered the entire middle of the country all the way...I was glad when he finally got home.:goodvibes Hope your DH gets home soon, safe and sound.

Hey Tinkerbean, if you are still out there for now....wanted to wish you and your DH pixie dust and prayers, good wishes, hugs, kisses, whatever you need for tomorrow. Don't worry, he will be fine. :hippie: :goodvibes :flower3: :grouphug:   pixiedust: :love1: :wizard:

He is going to bunk at DD college tonight. That will put a real damper on DD night.:lmao: :lmao: But at least he is safe and I now have a free night to my self:cool1: :cool1:
Glad your DH made it home safe and sound.

Tinkerbean I will have you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.  :grouphug:

Thanks...yes, once they are tucked in safe and sound somewhere...it's time to enjoy that alone time...peace and quiet.

I think the speed limits on the highways are 75 now, unless the highway is passing within city limits. HOWEVER, I still drive "reasonable and prudent". :cool2:

I think the streaming cameras at WDW are a great idea! We'd all be :dance3: in front of it! :rotfl:

SHAYMARAYSMOM, are the roads bad and your DH can't get through?

Hey, HRH, did DH's truck make it all that way without any problems!? I am pretty impressed with that truck....however, 5 days is a long time to be driving! :headache:

Tinkerbean, we'll be looking forward to hearing what a 'breeze' this surgery was when you and your DH are ready!

We're leaving tomorrow morning to drive over to Billings

My son is stationed in Great Falls
:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes I hope you have a safe trip....the main roads seem to be pretty good this weekend.

I have never seen the base at Great Falls but I have always been curious about what it looks like over there. My Dad was Air Force and my ex-DH was Army so I find something comforting about people walking around is camo! :rotfl: Are you heading to Billings for just the weekend?

We are taking our youngest son over to the Montana Stockgrower's Association annual meeting. He placed 5th in the state on the grading of his 4H steer and we are taking him over to accept an acknowledgment from them. I am both excited and thinking I am crazy to be driving from Kalispell to Billings!! :rotfl:

DH has been working in Helena all week and we are driving over to pick him up. Then, heading down to Bozeman to pickup older son from school and then taking the highway over to Billings. It looks like the weather is going to hold out until Monday....fingers crossed!

2 hr school delay !!! :woohoo: Just called my DS6 out of school for the day and DD doesn't have school (she's 1/2 day K) because of it. Going back to bed and then we'll play later!

Hey Freaps,

Thanks for all of the good wishes and prayers. We got slammed here last night with the snow and poor DH was out shoveling until midnight. Luckily both kids still have school (except one doesn't have transportation - but DFs are going to drive him).

I am feeling OK about stuff. Bringing my knitting with me. Will update you all in the morning (I still not sure if I am bringing the laptop with me).

Thanks Again, you guys are the best...

Rhonda

No problems with the truck at all...except it is REALLY big...long bed, extended cab, Heavy duty-350 engine. So the back end wanted to go it's own way a couple of times when the roads were icy. We are driving it to WDW, his idea, so HE will be doing the driving this time (I usually do it ) cuz I ain't drivin' that big ole rig...no sireeee...And the big bed means I don't have to be crazy about what NOT to pack...I can take it all......

Reasonable and Prudent cracks me up...definitely leaves a lot open to interpretation...I hope you guys have a great weekend in Billings. Congrats to DS for his award!!:thumbsup2

Hope to hear something soon!

hrh- have you checked the Florida weather? I was just on Accu-weather and It states it will be in the 70s when you are there. Be sure to bring something warm for the evenings!:yay:

I have been there a few times in December when I needed a winter coat.......gloves.......and I even had to buy a HAT a few years back- Style went right out the window that year! I am usually NOT a hat wearer- it squishes the "do" :lmao:

I remember back in '89 me, DH and mom were there for xmas through New Years and IT SNOWED!

All you people in/visiting Montana--Do y'all realize that is the most beautiful place on earth? Glacier Park/Disney--could alternate the year between those two places and be one happy camper!

Is it true that you can carry a gun on your person in Montana?

About 15 years ago I had a friend who told me that- I thought that was kind of cool, not cool as in, drive by shooting cool, just being able to carry a gun that you own leagally- I guess that would reduce crime dramatically, who wants to take the chance on robbing someone who may be "packing heat" :lmao:

Yes, Montana is beautiful.....as in nice place to visit...Sorry mtblujeans, you know my feelings about winters in Montana...to freakin' cold!!! I like the snow on the Beartooth Pass in the summer..you can make snowballs while wearing shorts!!
