hrh- have you checked the Florida weather? I was just on Accu-weather and It states it will be in the 70s when you are there. Be sure to bring something warm for the evenings!

I have been there a few times in December when I needed a winter coat.......gloves.......and I even had to buy a HAT a few years back- Style went right out the window that year! I am usually NOT a hat wearer- it squishes the "do"

I remember back in '89 me, DH and mom were there for xmas through New Years and IT SNOWED!

Yeah, I've been watching the Weather Channel site...Tomorrow it will be up to 80, then on Monday the HIGH will be 60.. Then it creeps back up to highs of mid 70's...I am gonna use my free tickets to Blizzard Beach even if there are REAL icicles there!! Thanks for the head up, I guess I will toss in a couple of extra jackets and hats..We don't usually go back to the hotel room, so we will either carry it around all day, or make the trek back...


What's going on with the surgery??? Do you think Tinkerbean is going to spend the night at the hospital? Does anyone do that up north, down here it is quite normal for family to spend the night with the patient. We don't do it, but a lot of folks do..Hope everythings OK...I'm sure it is.

The boys and I went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks after school today. I've got to say, despite the poor reviews..(who reviews silly movies like this any way??) it was sooooo cute. Every little song they sang brought me right back to my childhood and put a big lump in my throat and a little tear in my eye.. It was one kid's movie where I didn't keep trying to look at my watch...very well done... Those Freaps and Meaps with little ones should not miss this one..I gvie it a

Does anyone do that up north, down here it is quite normal for family to spend the night with the patient. We don't do it, but a lot of folks do..Hope everythings OK...I'm sure it is.

DH spent the night with me when I was in the hospital overnight about 2 years ago. He slept in the chair.

I would think you can do that no matter where you are from.

Just pack them all in a seperate bag and get a locker!

If you go to another park- just take them along and you can get a rcpt for your locker pmt in the one park- and get another locker at no charge when you move on to the next park!

With all of the snow I am hearing about- I would think everyone would be inside- with the fire going- DISing their lives away!

It is about 45 here today and rainy- yuk! I want the snow the rest of the Northeast is getting! I am in the Northeast...... what about me!!!!!?

With all of the snow I am hearing about- I would think everyone would be inside- with the fire going- DISing their lives away!

It is about 45 here today and rainy- yuk! I want the snow the rest of the Northeast is getting! I am in the Northeast...... what about me!!!!!?

I have been cleaning DSs' room ALLLLLLL Day...we are talking wall to wall stuff strewn evenly across the floor. Finally got everything picked up and either tossed, stuffed in a drawer or toybox..and all I have left is two laundry baskets which will go under the bed. I am done with it for now.- I even found DS7's Catz game-it is the size and shape of a memory card. ...now if I can just keep the stuff off the floor til Tuesday,it will stay clean until Christmas morning when they get their Wii. They are going to need the room/floor space to play it! It started out chilly and rainy here, about the same as what you have, then the sun came out and I think it may have gotten up to the low 60's. That reminds me, I need to cover my ferns outside tonight in case of frost.

I haven't even finished the newspaper today, so I didn't get out shopping at all. I am done anyway, except DS7's birthday is January 12, so I keep looking at the sales for him..


Gotta go start dinner..don't know what to have, but we have eaten our last 3 meals out, so I guess I need to cook something..


ETA-screw it, I'm ordering pizza...bye...

I WISH!!!! We got all the snow (Central MA) and had to dig our way out. On top of that I work retail and the freakin mall didn't open late so I had to go in early to get there on time and open to NO CUSTOMERS!!! 9 days before Christmas, I work in a jewelry store and we did $1000.00 in sales today To compare it to, we did over $30,000 last year so it was really pitiful. I would have loved to stay home and play in the snow and on the computer all day!

Has anyone else received an award from this site yet? My boys both answered enough surveys to earn $10.00 CASH each so far! They enjoy filling out the surveys, and we count it as "reading time" so it helps with school, too. We only filled out about 4-5 surveys between the three of us and they had enough to cash in..I thought it would be crappy prizes, but this is cold hard cash!!

They enjoy filling out the surveys, and we count it as "reading time" so it helps with school, too. We only filled out about 4-5 surveys between the three of us and they had enough to cash in..I thought it would be crappy prizes, but this is cold hard cash!!

Mine are 7 and 9. Usually I help them, they aren't hard but take about 20-25 minutes if you have a slow reader like I do...They have mostly been for a product that is new, how would they like it, would their friends like it, etc. not hard, in fact I didn't feel like sitting around for the last one, they did it themselves, I have no idea how the survey turned out but they still get points for it. The site encourages parents to help if necessary..and you get to do a couple, too..then they credit one of the kids accounts. I was so impressed that it paid cash, my kids were less than impressed until I told them they would get money in exchange for the check!!

The parent surveys take about 5 minutes. I think if you have a pretty good reader, the child's surveys should take 15 minutes tops.

I remember those days of retail at KMart in Taylor, Michigan. I tell people down here in the south that I laugh when they close stores and schools for an inch of snow (never snows here in Savannah, but had it occasionally in Greenville, SC-hey javaonline!!) that up north, not only were you expected to be at work after it had snowed all night long, but you were expected to be ON TIME!!!

Oh, I don't miss that stuff one, single itty bit...
