Good mornin', all! Hope everyone had a good weekend....

Kellie, do you have a surgery date yet? Keep us updated....like you don't have anything else to do!

I hope Madd is having a darn good time in the !

I went to a pre-op appointment Thursday afternoon and we decided to push the surgery back as I felt like I was getting sick. They didn't have another opening until Feb. 18, also a Monday.

By Thursday evening, I was sick as a and spent the next few days in bed and miserable! It was like a bad head cold, sinus infection thing. No upset stomach, thank goodness. Yesterday was the first day I felt well enough to get up and dressed!

For some reason, I haven't been able to sleep much since Thursday.....which hasn't helped any. Maybe its because I was spending so much time in bed any way. I still have a little bit of a cough but I can breathe and there is no more fever so its getting much better.

What have the rest of you been up to this weekend?

Wow, I'm sorry about all that. Good thing they postpones the surgery, you don't want to be hacking up a lung while someone is doing delicate surgery on you!

We went on an overnight cubscout trip Saturday night. We have a small wildlife educational center her..kinda like a zoo, but with regional animals and you have to walk trails to go out to their pens..It's kinda cool, anyway, they let us camp in the large open yard outside the buildings they have for indoor studies/classes. So the kids ran around like maniacs, and then they got to go out on the trails and feed the mountain lions. They said that was cool, I was running back to the house for chairs we forgot. It's only about 3 miles from our house. Then as it got dark, we had hotdogs and chips, someone made a "dump cake" in a dutch oven on the coals..that was good, ,kinda like pineapple upside down cake. Then the kids ran around some more, made s'mores. At that point it was time for me to leave..(I don't sleep in a tent anymore unless I have to..plus I had to take care of the dogs.) DS9 had been pissy all evening, he had gotten it into his head he didn't want to go, then he didn't want to stay even though he was having fun. he has some issues that we haven't figured out yet..so he and I went home, and the rest of them went on an after dark trail hike. With their flashlights off, they could see all the animals that are normally shy in the daylight, the wolves, foxes, etc.

The next moring they got to go around and feed more animals..buffalos(at one time there were buffalos in Georgie.. ), deer, and the bear..Ursa Minor. They all thought it was pretty cool..

Then we met DH and DS9 at Huddle house for late breakfast because all they had taken was poptarts and granola bars.

That was about it..I was looking forward to having the house to myself that night, but it was a rare moment when I got to be alone with my DS9. He is a completely different person when he is one on one...

We also had BB games on Saturday...simultaneously. so I stand there and "straddle" the curtain that cuts the large court in half and go back and forth with my head. I take in absolutely nothing that way, so what's the point??


Well, I am trying to get my list done..got my laundry folded and put away after it sitting in the baskets for 5 days...gotta run..TTFN

Hi,
Well we just got home. They are going to try some new core removal of tissue. They are going to do it on the 15th of this month. The good thing is they have agreed not to knock me out and just make me dopey.( so that wont be tough) I will be in and out they said in about 2 1/2 hours. It will take a few days to get the results. So we are going to go day by day. The Drs where great. So I at least feel very comfortable with them.

HRH ~ You have been soooo busy! Sheesh....it makes me tired just to read about what you have been up to. What are your temps this week? Clearly, I am living vicariously....

Kellie ~ things sound very positive! Thanks for getting back to us with the date....we'll be watching your progress. (Now the unfortunate, inappropriate part) You will be working with more than one doctor?? Any of them rival Mr. Depp, by chance? Oh, don't any body curl a lip....you were all thinking it!!

so how was the feeling up part??? JK, sounds like you will be up on your feet..is this a biopsy, or are they removing all your tumors? (how many?) I'm nosey, tell me if it's NOMB..Did your DH go along, if so how did he take that? Been thinking about you today, it sounds promising!

It's 75 outside right now. Saturday night it was supposed to go down to high 30's..no thank you...(that wasn't really that busy, all I did was drive there, eat and drive home..DH is the camping wiz, I am not allowed to touch the tent..which is just the way I like it..oh yeah, I DID pump up DS8's Ready Bed.)

I am feeling okay. No they did not look like our mighty Johnnie. But one of them had these most pretty eyes I have ever seen. They have a team of DRs so I am in good hands. One held my B&&B for 40 minutes why they did some weird test. I asked him after if he was going to respect me in the morning He told Dh John I seem in good spirts so that will help.

They are going to remove the tissue and a couple of them to see what the next step will be. You are not being nosey.John did go with me he seem okay the DRS in Boston are so on top of this stuff that he feels that I am in safe hands.

Roughing it is not as appealing as when we were young and didn't have enough money for heat or other recreation!

Kellie, they don't remove all the tumors in the first procedure? They check them and see what they really are before going back in for all of them? How many doctors are you dealing with for just the procedure? Are they all surgeons? Sorry about so many questions....I am trying to get an understanding of the situation and procedure you are facing. Not to mention the fact that I am as naive as a stump!!

Hey, Freaps - Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth. I have sleep issues (related to the fibromyalgia) didn't sleep a wink on Sunday nite. But did sleep all day yesterday and last night... and up at 5 this morning feeling "perky"

mtblu - sounds like it was a good thing that you didn't go thru with the srugery. I asked DH about recovery and he tought about 2 weeks or so. For the first couple of days, he spent all of his time on the third floor (Master Bed) and then would venture down later on. Remember to load up on "injury peas" they really do work better than ice.

HRH - I don't do tents anymore either. I keep telling people, I don't do tents because I can't, I CHOOSE not to. I figure, I'm 41 I've proved I can ruff it, now I CHOOSE to sleep in the RV...

Kellie - I'm glad that you are feeling comfortable with you team. Remember our deal? Thought about you all day yesterday

I am so sorry to hear about your rough weekend....I hate sleep issues! I get very irritable without regular sleep. Thanks for the info about the recovery time. I am very anxious about not being able to get out of the house for awhile. I was thinking I would not be able to use the stairs for several weeks....forgetting that I may not FEEL like walking around for a couple of weeks!! I have been staying home since the appointment last Thursday....staying off the ice and snow and just staying off my feet, period. My legs and hips were hurting so bad I just couldn't take it any more. It has gotten better since I have been laying around. I'll make sure the freezer is stocked up on peas.

They have found some in and around the milk ducts so they where a little thrown by them. This is why they need to just remove the tissue and at least one to see what type of tumor they are. This is how they will decide what their next plan of action is. We started with two Drs but now that they have found them where they are we now have 5 DRs.
I think the new ones they found will be fine (hoping big time) But on the good side if I need to pick up some spare cash I told them I am going to rent my self out as a wet nurse.

I'm glad you are in good spirits. I wish I had something clever or inspirational to say, but I'm not gifted that way. Know that we are all thinking about you and wishing good things.
