I'm not really up to date on any new films so....

My old favorites are: Freaky Friday, Candleshoe, the Witch Mountain films, Herbie the Love Bug films, Treasure of Matacumbe and I guess my all time favorite is The North Avenue Irregulars.

Old- Flight of the Navigator, That Darn Cat, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty

New- Lion King, Tangled, Finding Nemo

When I was little I loved, I mean, LOVED "Escape to Witch Mountain".
Also "Candleshoe" (To this day, when I see Jodie Foster that movie is the first thing that comes to mind. "Tally Ho !" )

As for New... Toy Story 3, Tangled.

P.S. An honorable old mention for "Bed knobs and Broomsticks", as well...

And not to be rude, but did Angela Lansbury *ever* look young ? She looks like she's "getting up there" in that film and that was, what, almost 40 years ago ?

Yes, she did look young once. :) Watch the movie Gaslight. She has a small part as a young maid. That's the only one I can think of though.

Old- North Ave Irregulars but haven't seen it in ages. Lots of good ones though. Happiest Millionaire. Apple Dumpling Gang.

New- Emperor's New Grove and all the Pixar movies and Tangled.

Old: Cinderella, Peter Pan, and Alice in Wonderland.
Old live-action: The Love Bug, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Swiss Family Robinson.

New: Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Atlantis. (No, really.)
Totally obscure: TV show from 1978: "Major Effects," an old Sunday night show; only aired once, been looking for it ever since.

OLD- World's Greatest Athlete
Ugly Daschund
Million Dollar Duck
Herbie Rides Again

NEW - Little Mermaid
Pirates of the Caribbean
Princess Diaries

Assuming we are talking about Live action movies, I'll rule out all the Animated (and live action/animation combo movies like Pete's Dragon, Mary Poppins, and Enchanted)

Old- I admit it... I have a scary love of the old Dexter Riley series of movies.

New - Tron Legacy

Mike Jittlov (born June 8, 1948) is an American animator and the creator of short films and one feature length movie using forms of special effects animation, including stop-motion animation, rotoscoping, and pixilation. He is best known for the 1987 feature-length film The Wizard of Speed and Time, based on his 1979 short film of the same name.[1]

In late 1979, he co-starred again on Disney's Major Effects television special - this time introducing the world to the 500 mph Green "Wizard of Speed and Time" via the short film version. With an improved soundtrack, the short was released to 16mm film collectors in 1980, along with four of his other short films.
