Freaked out about Haunted Mansion

Been reading a lot lately on the various sites about real ghosts in the Haunted Mansion and then Ricky at ************** posted something about it on Facebook. Getting a little freaked out cuz it seems a lot of people have seen "something." Anyone here seen anything? Sure wish someone could capture these things on video. I mean if it were true, somebody would, right?

The only ghosts I have ever seen are when I've been sleep deprived for more than 48 hours, or had a fever over 103. I've never seen any real ghosts at the Haunted Mansion, either in Disneyland or Walt Disney World.

Except me.

I am in a wheelchair, and one year, Disney ran out of the yellow mouse ponchos, and had clear ponchos which look white in the light of the hallway. I was rolling back towards the elevator, poncho billowing around me. I was just about to reach the elevator when somebody stepped off, saw me, and SCREAMED!!!!!!

I let out a short scream of surprise, my husband looked at her, looked at me, and then started laughing hysterically. When I realized what had happened, I did too. He joked that he took home his personal happy haunt.

OP, no need to fret! The HM at DL is safe! I can say living here in SoCali having an AP......been in/on HM more times than I could ever count and have yet to see any ghosts!

Like someone else posted its that 'moving sidewalk' while stepping out of your dune buggy is the scariest!

So get over to DL and enjoy everything there is about the HM! Especially THIS time of year!

Hehe, that's so funny! That reminded me of the time I had just gotten out of the stretching room and to the left near the windows, I saw a huge shadow that looked like someone sitting in a wheelchair. I was right next to the windows and thought it was part of the decoration at the time, when suddenly the person in the wheelchair started moving and I almost screamed (but contained myself) It looked pretty creepy, especially when the shadow was illuminated by the lighting effects in the window!

I've never seen anything, but my roommate used to be a HM cast member. He swears it's really haunted by the ghost of a little boy. He only worked the mansion for a few weeks last summer before he requested a transfer. Now he won't even ride it anymore.

I've never seen a ghost, but do you remember back in the late 80s or early 90s when they had a CM dressed in a full suit of armor and step forward and scare the crap out of you??? I would beg and scream and cry to skip the ride. Now that I'm the parent....I think they should bring it back.

OMG Seriously, if I wasn't at work I'd be crying, I'm having the hardest time not laughing hysterically right now......

Welcome newbie

I've ridden the HM many times and haven't seen a real ghost. I also grew up in a very haunted house so I would know if I saw a real one.
