I tried, I really did, but I couldn't make it through.

Luvdzny - NO WAY! No Wizard of Oz? When I was little and they were showing Wiz of Oz on TV, it was considered a major event in our house. My parents would invite friends and family over and we would watch it all together with bowls of popcorn and gallons of root beer. AND we had B&W tv. I still remember the first time watching in color - 1969 - I was 11 years old.

One of my more enduring childhood memories.

Haven't seen ET, Exorcist, Casablanca or Citizen Kane. Caught "On the Waterfront" a few months ago and what a great film! Would like to see more of the old Hitchcock flicks.

I will watch Alfred Hitchcocks .....THE BIRDS anytime it is on.....and I love Jaws.....any one of them.....I also have Jaws the anniversary collection.....my most favorite .......I also tend to watch Indiana Jones when it is on.........they sure could make good ones

Schindler's List, couldn't watch it because I knew I would be sobbing through the whole thing.

Finally watched GWTW last year and really enjoyed it. Tried twice to read the book and could never get past the middle. lol

Pig pen, The Wizard of Oz was a big event at our house when I was a child and when I had children. In fact, last time my son visited, he took my special edition DVD back to his house! Its ok though, its time to start the tradition with my granddaughter.

I haven't seen "The Ten Commandments", "Ben-Hur", or "Spartacus". I know that there are several 1980's-present movies that I guess would be considered classics that I haven't seen. I'm into old movies and don't see many "new" movies, classic or not.

Its really a good movie Jason, but I do agree the book is better. I always enjoyed it becouse of the corilation with The Civil War and the fall of the south.
