Day 6: The Last Full Day :(

Our last full day at Disney was spent half at MK, and half at Epcot. We took the boat to MK, and while John, Mary and the kids had another character breakfast at the Crystal Palace restaurant in MK, Mom,Dad, and I (Joe stayed home to sleep in) rode Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, and Thunder Railroad. We meet up with everyone (including Joe) at about 11 AM and took the monorail straight to Epcot.

We spent the first half of our visit in Future World. We pulled a Fast Pass for Test Track, rode the Energy (Dinosaur) ride and after the big kids went on TT. We took a break for lunch at the Food Pavilion. After lunch, Allen got to make chocolate chip cookies with other kids at one of the food exhibits. He was in charge of the chocolate chips! He had fun, and we had fun watching him.

We then wandered around World Showcase the rest of the afternoon. We stopped at England to pick up a gift for my grandmother’s birthday next week, Morocco to hear a native music group perform, the American Pavilion to hear an a cappella group perform American folk songs, Japan to hear some traditional drummers, France for some pastry, Germany to look at fine porcelain, China to see a Chinese children’s acrobat troop, and finally our favorite stop, Mexico for dinner and margarita’s. After such a long journey around the world, we headed back to the hotel for a swim and an early bedtime.

Day 7: Homeward Bound.

Our last day simply consisted of packing up, double-checking to make sure we had everything and everyone, and meeting our shuttle back to the airport. We checked in and headed to the gate with little trouble, and our flight left on time and was uneventful. After saying good by to our parents as they made their way to their connecting flight to Phoenix, my brothers and I made our own way home.

Wrap Up: Basically, it was a great trip, we all had a blast. Lines were short everywhere, we either used Fast Pass or waited no more than 20 minutes for any ride (even those we used FP for never had a wait longer than 20 except TT, we just used it to save a little standing around.) The weather was great, low 90’s and humid but bearable, only rained once for an hour while we were at dinner. I can’t wait to go back!

Thanks for the wonderful report - luv reading them!!!

Sounds like a busy but wonderful trip....... I notice that you live in Elgin, We are in Carpentersville. IASW

Hi,

I have just finished reading your reports - sounds like you had a great time and Mom and Dad were a big help with taking the kids back to the hotel and letting you enjoy staying out.

Where did Mom and Dad have lunch after the DVC timeshare presentation?

>>^..^<<

The certificate they got was only good for the less expensive places around WDW. Since they were at Boardwalk, they went over to Epcot and had lunch at the Pub at the England Pavilion. I think they said they had fish and chips.

And yes, they were a great big help with the boys. Joe and I watched them too sometimes to give John and Mary a few breaks. It's one of the reasons we all went together, so we could take turns with the kids.
