Just wanted to express my relief that this monster who raped and terrorised for over 30 years has finally got his appeal against his murder of Caroline Dickinson revoked, This man made every parent sit up and take notice when he murdered that girl in the dormitory in France where she lay sleeping with her schoolfriends and he has ruined the lives of a lot of dear people I know, Thank heavens justice has prevailed and we can all sleep easier now another threat to our children will never see the light of day again.
Back in July 1996 when this tragedy happened the little local newspaper I worked on (exciting stuff like farming and WI reports) became the centre of the universe for a few weeks - I knew Carolines Mum quite well and the teachers who were with her at the time were greatly affected by this. If it weren't for the insistance of Carolines dad John to keep this at the top of the news schedule then Montes would never have been caught.

Just wanted to add it was down to an American detective that this man was finally caught, The story reads like a john grisham novel - you couldn't make it up if you tried
