the Eiffel Tower (replica) actually sits on top of a building & not on the ground? I figured it out from the link provided here by Dan Murphy:

You might not be the only one who didn't know, but you might be the only one who cares.
But seriously, judging from its shape and seeing that the "base" is so high in the air, I always assumed it was atop a building or other raised support.
Now that we're on this subject...
The "San Marco" Tower in "Italy" (the real one sits in Venice)

is huge (I'm guessing its nearly 1/3rd "life-sized".)
And several other buildings in other pavillions are quite impressive.
Soooo...
Why is the "Eifel Tower" so darn PUNY?
I know its supposed to be "forced perspective" but still, as iconic as that tower is to France (Paris, at least) why did they choose to make it SO SMALL?
I've wondered that since the first time I entered WS.
