Ok so we all have found a certain set of pins and thought to ourselves, "wow, I have got to collect those! That would make such a cool framed set!" Well I happened across a set that struck me in that way so I started to do a little creative brain storming and I came up with this:
The graphic was from the Grand Opening of Space at Epcot and I thought it would go great with the countdown pins to open the new attraction. The frame is 12" X 18" with a 2" border around the edges. The frame is black aluminum with a 1/2" reveal. The picture is double matted in black (with a 1/4" reveal) and teal that was color matched to the meteor trails in the picture. The area for the pins is purple and is color equivalent to earth in the picture. Here is my problem, I don't have any of these pins. The pictures of the pins are actually graphics from PinPics that I enlarged to their actual size (I am only guessing on the size of the pins but they appear to be around 1.75"). So what I have is a framed set of a bunch of graphics of pins that I wish I would have been at Walt Disney World to collect. I am not sure, but I think this is backwards from what I am supposed to do. So I am wondering if anyone has any of these pins that they would be interested in trading. In fact, if someone has a whole set of these for trade and likes how I did this, maybe we can trade framing for pins. Kind of weird but then so is framing a set of pins you don't have. Of course this is coming from the same guy that traded his lanyard the last time he was in Walt Disney World then had no lanyard for the rest of the trip.
And if you don't have the set to trade, what is the weirdest thing you have ever done with a set of pins that you don't own? This should be an interesting bunch of stories...
