Ok so we all have found a certain set of pins and thought to ourselves, "wow, I have got to collect those! That would make such a cool framed set!" Well I happened across a set that struck me in that way so I started to do a little creative brain storming and I came up with this:

spacecountdown.jpg

The graphic was from the Grand Opening of Space at Epcot and I thought it would go great with the countdown pins to open the new attraction. The frame is 12" X 18" with a 2" border around the edges. The frame is black aluminum with a 1/2" reveal. The picture is double matted in black (with a 1/4" reveal) and teal that was color matched to the meteor trails in the picture. The area for the pins is purple and is color equivalent to earth in the picture. Here is my problem, I don't have any of these pins. The pictures of the pins are actually graphics from PinPics that I enlarged to their actual size (I am only guessing on the size of the pins but they appear to be around 1.75"). So what I have is a framed set of a bunch of graphics of pins that I wish I would have been at Walt Disney World to collect. I am not sure, but I think this is backwards from what I am supposed to do. So I am wondering if anyone has any of these pins that they would be interested in trading. In fact, if someone has a whole set of these for trade and likes how I did this, maybe we can trade framing for pins. Kind of weird but then so is framing a set of pins you don't have. Of course this is coming from the same guy that traded his lanyard the last time he was in Walt Disney World then had no lanyard for the rest of the trip.

And if you don't have the set to trade, what is the weirdest thing you have ever done with a set of pins that you don't own? This should be an interesting bunch of stories...

Jeff,

I picked up those pins in Orlando last week. Let me know if you still need them.

Nice job framing though... In the picture it looks like the pins are there.

Cynthia,

I am definitely still looking for those pins. Not sure what you are looking for in trade but maybe we can work something out. I swear, you are more connected than the president!

Nat,

I am a master of two dimensions. It is just when I add that third dimension that I get messed up.

Jeff..

What an awesome framed pin set!! :teeth:

You're really getting good at cutting those mats too! :)

Jeff,
I love that idea, I just may have to steal it since Cynthia got those pins for me too. NOw i guess I have to get the poster.
Who is going to go on the ride with me during the event? I can't wait. Peggie

First you insult baseball now you are going to steal from me? You have some serious issues. If you want the poster, I have an electronic version that is 8 X 10 that I can print and send to you (even if you are mean to me).
