Seems like I have been waiting forever; but, tonight I will be able to get my Battlestar fix.

I can't be the only one on the DIS that watches the best show on television.

Any other toaster-lovers out there?

I have been counting down the days. Yesterday DH and I watched all the web episodes of "The Face of the Enemy". I just hate that I only have 10 episodes left.

I also hate that there are only 10 left, but I think those 10 are going to be a great ride.

Do you have any theories as to who the last Cylon is?

This is one of the few sci-fi shows that I cannot stand. I'm glad that folks like it, the world would be a boring place if we all had the same taste, but I don't think I was ever able to make it through an episode.

And if you missed those early episodes (like I did), the rest of it never made a lot of sense. In that way, it kinda reminds me of LOST.

agnes!

No, every time I have a new theory, I then think that's too obvious. What about you?

I watched the tv movie that started it and the first season and part of the second and just lost interest. To me it got weird when they introduced cylons looking like humans. I tried to watch it, I really did, but I just couldn't do it. Maybe its because I was such a fan of the original, but cylons looking like humans was just a bit much for me.

I agree that you have to watch all of the episodes. I had no interest in the show and one of my friends loaned me Season 1. He made me promise that I would watch at least an hour of the pilot. It took me 6 months to get around to it because I thought my wife would hate it. Well one night I got her to agree to watch an hour of the pilot. Three weeks later, we had gone through every episode that was released on DVD and had to wait for new episodes. Sooooooo, you might give it a second chance by renting the pilot and seeing if it grabs you.

One rumor is that it is Ellen! She is supposed to be back for some of the final shows, but no one knows if it is in flashbacks or in Tigh's mind (like when he would look at Six and see Ellen). They are supposed to reveal the final Cylon early on, though. I'm hoping for tonight!

My theory is that it is Doc. Cottle. I could explain why but then you would have to read through page after page after page of my explanation. At this point I can't imagine it being anyone else.

I also have a theory on how it is going to end, and it involves the original Battlestar Galactica. My guess is that the current show and the original show are both in the same universe just at different points in time. Hence the "This has happened before and it will happen again" motif of the show.

This is bitter sweet since I'm ecstatic that the new season is here, but also a little sad that this is also the beginning of the end. I had never thought of Doc Cottle as the last cylon, but now that you mention it, I could see it. I think I would be more than a little disappointed if it was one of the major characters. As that would seem too obvious (if that makes any sense). lol

And no offense, Strangeite, I would not like your ending at all. lol I believe one of the reasons this show was so successful was their willingness to stray so much from the original and be their own show, not merely a "re-make". Although, I do have to admit that I got a big kick out of the appearance of the old school Cylon. There's just something about that "wooo woooo" sound. :lmao:

Holy crud, that's tonight?!?

I rely on DH to keep track of these things for me and he hasn't said a word. He WILL be getting a talking to.

My husband has been waiting for this!! :cool1:
He's extra happy because until a couple of months ago he thought the show was over.

I am more confident in my Doc Cottle theory than I am in my theory on how the show will end.

Doc Cottle just always seems to be in the right place at the right time for major events. And, he was one of the very first members of the fleet to "recognize" that Cylons have rights, by giving them medical treatment. He also just conveniently was off the Battlestar when the other four heard the Bob Dylan song (speaking of which, I will never be able to hear "All Along the Watchtower" the same way again).

As to my theory that both show exist in the same universe, I agree that it seems a little shaky but my gut tells me it something like this.

I've been waiting and waiting for this night. I bought season 4.0 last weekend and watched it through again so I'd be ready for tonight.

BSG is extremely re-watchable. I re-watched the miniseries that started the whole thing again last month, and then re-watched the entire first season again.

I always wind up re-watching the Pegasus part when Cain says she's going to execute Tyrol and Helo. The part where Adama is walking down a hallway with Callie, then when he hears this, he orders a marine strike team in a Raptor in 5 minutes. That's a cool 5 minutes that watch over & over.

Frakkin'-A, bring it on!

Can't wait! Seems like forever since the first half of season 4 ended.

My all-time favorite show of any genre. It is a crime how the acting has been overlooked by the Emmys. Olmos, McDonnell, Calis...every acting award since 2003 should have a disclaimer stating that the cast of BSG was ignored.

I've been a Trek fan since age 11. BSG makes Trek look like a grade school play.

I heard from a Comcast employee and BSG fan that the show is scheduled to run 3.5 minutes over tonight. Be careful if you are DVR-ing. He also said that the extra 3.5 minutes will be available on line.

Did you watch the new webisodes on SCIFI.COM? The ones about Felix Gaeta lost in space in a Raptor with two Sharons, two pilots and a mechanic?

That almost sounds like a joke.

"Did you hear the one about Felix Gaeta? There he was, lost in space with two Sharons, two pilots and a mechanic? Well..."

agnes!

No, I plan on plugging my iPhone into the TV tonight and watching them before tonight's episode.
