The FQ is one of the resorts I currently have booked and have been looking forward to but with all the great reviews about WL I am starting to waver, especially with recent discussions of musty smelling rooms at FQ,I know alot of people didn't have problems with their rooms but I have a very sensitive nose and I know the resort is soldout when I go in December so if I am not happy with the room I may be stuck with it. I am a 40 ish female traveling solo which resort would you choose FQ or WL ?FYI,I am also staying at AKL and BWI.I appreciate any advice I can get.
Thanks!!!! :)

My husband and I stayed at POFQ last May...the rooms had all recently been renovated. I have severe allergies and had no problems! POFQ isn't our favorite resort (we actually hope to stay at WL next time we go!), but it was nice and we weren't let down in the least! It's cheaper than WL too!

I guess what you have to ask yourself is do you want an outdoor resort stay or an indoor resort stay. POFQ has all exterior buildings, while WL is all under one roof. I love both. We are booked at POFQ for 2 nights before we checkin at BWV, but as a surprise to my husband I am going to move us to WL as soon as the AP rates come out. If I were traveling by myself again I would go with WL. I guess it is because you are under one roof and that makes me feel safer. Not that WDW is an unsafe place but we all know what kind of world we live in. That and it is nice to just sit around at WL and enjoy the "sounds of the wilderness" :teeth:

We love POFQ! When we stayed in Dec04, the rooms were not musty. Actually, we heard that they totally remodeled from floor to ceiling in 2003. Our room was clean and well maintained. The beds were actually comfortable too. We are going in October and when I called, there were no more rooms for AAA rate (I refuse to pay rack rates). We are planning on staying at WL due to
1: no rooms at POFQ
2: we love taking the boat
3: close to MK (& possibility of seeing Wishes from our room as well)

If I were going by myself I would splurge and stay at the resort next to the main park that I were planning on going to; preferably one with boat service because I'd rather not take the bus!
