FP+ worth it or necessary for Frozen Sing-a-long at DHS?

Rethinking some of my FP+ selections and times. I think I will like having them when there, but this is hard deciding now. Anyway, I have been reading about people not advising to use them for shows and parades. I have 1 for the Frozen Sing along. Would that be worth it? My girls are actually older, but love Frozen like so many others. They both sing and I think would enjoy it. However, DH would really rather use them for Star Tours(already have ToT & TSM). So just wondering if anyone has been. Is it worth using FP+ for, or could we just get in standby anyway.
It is a hard day to plan as I am talking about out July 5th day. We will be tired after staying out so late on the 3rd and 4th so I plan a late entry for DHS that day.
Thanks

The sing a long is the only show I would get a FP for (and VotLM on a crowded day). They can do Star Tours with their FPs. You don't have to do the same things. Our 4th, 5th and 6th FPs were for ST, and our 7th was for F!, but that was in moderate crowds.

I did suggest that I change his FP to star tours but he said if we all go to the sing a long then he will come too. I was thinking that I could try for a 4th FP for STar tours but since we will arrive late that day I don't know how many will be available. I would have gone in earlier and left early, but I think there are some Frozen fireworks there now an I would like to stay for those. This is what I meant about it being hard to plan. I don't really know what time we will want to venture into a park that day. We stay at MK on the 3rd till 3 a.m. and maybe midnight at Epcot on the 4th. The 5th will be a bit lazy for sure. I think I might just plan to go back on the 6th since I am not planning DHS until late in our trip.

My dh and ds had no problems walking on to Star Tours without fastpasses; they rode 3 times in a row while dd and I were at the sing along. But yes, I do think you need the fastpasses for the sing along. We had wonderful seats and didn't have to wait in line near as long as those in the standby line. Totally worth it.

I know this has been discussed before but is there any advantage of having a FP with a last minute arrival or at that point is it a free for all? Was planning a Sunday 705p in Sept without a FP

We went to the last sing along performance during the very busy Easter time and easily got seats pretty close. My DD and I went while the boys did Star Tours walk on.

My DD is a teen & she loved it.

Enjoy your trip
We went late in the day and all fast passes were gone for the park. We had used ours earlier on the day for MK.

Don't know since we did not have one. We came after seating started and it did not look like it but I wasn't really checking.

We got a FP for this in July. Do you get better seats with a FP?
When we were there (November), they let all the fastpass people in first, so we (obviously) picked the seats closest to the stage. When the standby people came in, most (if not all) of them ended up in the bleacher-style seats in the very back. Since they are changing theaters this summer, I'm not sure how it will work after that.

I would if you needed to see it. The wait was really long, and the cast members really pack people in, counting seats and fitting families in everywhere they can.
OR you could ride Star Tours, Tower of Terror and Rocking Roller Coaster, and sing along with the movie when you get home.

When we were there in April, the FP seating was the left "wing" of seats. (Theatre has two aisles with left, middle, and right blocks of seating) Some FP section seats' views are blocked by a giant pole. They also offered us the option of going to the back bleachers. I'm not entirely sure what the point of the FP is.

To quote the lady behind us in the FP section: "So, with the FP, you can show up late and get a crappy seat."

We did it the last time and it was probably worth it simply because we didn't want to get there earlier and HS doesn't have a lot of FP+ options anyway.

We were sitted the same as cluno (left) and some of the seats weren't great.

The FP is to get you into the theater for that show, whereas standby can bump you to the next show or even the show after that (in crowded times).

I would keep the sing along FP+ for this summer, as the Frozen Summer Fun event is returning, which adds another cateory of preferred seating -- those who buy the premium package for the day. They get to pick their showtime and have the first 2-3 rows reserved for themselves. Maybe even more if the new theater is bigger. If you're staying for fireworks that night, you'll be able to ride Star Tours with little to no wait after dinner, even wthout a FP+.
