Fp+ with large groups? How does this work?

My niece was very excited to tell me about her band trip to wdw the end of May, she and none of her friends realized that legacy fp was gone and they had no idea about fp+. They will be fine but I am wondering how they can set up there Magic mands/ mdx bands? She said last time they gave them there tickets when they got to fla, like in the parking lot of mk. They are staying at asm, any advice on how to handle the big group situation? Has anyone else done it yet? Thanks for any advice!

Have them all connect as friends/family on MDE. From there one person can make FP+ selections and copy them to everyone else that is connected via MDE.

I'd also go a step further to suggest that a brand new MDE is set up, rather than using an existing account. This will prevent past and future reservations for interfering by keeping the account dedicated to this trip and the band members and chaperons on going with.

The last reports I have read, though i'm not here as much as I used to be , is that for the band groups that use YES tickets(which you will be), the rules are different and you can only do day of FP+ selections.

Its either you can't get your YES tickets early or you can't add them to your account.

I think I did hear of a post that group was chosen for as test that would allow them to get their FP+ at the 60 day mark.

will band groups even have access to their tickets before the trip? Usually the kids don't have access to that stuff until they get there.

Traveling with a big group/band is an entirely different thing than a normal trip, you kinda have to forget how you would do it as a person or family.

I have given this advice many times on posts concerning band trips. I have been on two as a chaperone.
