FP+ Window reduced to 30 days for non-resort guests

Now if they could open up advanced FP+ selection to all offsite guests (even us lowly non-AP, non-onsiters) even if it's just one day ahead of our visit.

:thumbsup2 Yes, we truly are the lowest of the low, aren't we?

:confused3 Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan, Talking Mickey, Soarin, Spaceship Earth, Mission to Mars, Toy Story Midway Mania, Tower of Terror, Star Tours, Safari, Expedition Everest and Dinosaur (5 days during our April Spring break 4/2-4/6, so weekdays and weekend).

I was kidding - winkie smiley face

We are annual passholders. We are staying offsite March 21-31st. I was finally able to customize our bands this past weekend and have been checking every day (several times a day in fact) to see if we could start making fast pass reservations. At 5:30am yesterday morning I was still locked out, but about 10:30am was finally allowed to book our FP+. I was able to get morning fast passes for Soarin on two days, a morning FP for Expedition Everest and the Safari, an early afternoon FP+ for all three us for Toy Story one day and then a morning FP+ for Toy Story for me and my mom one day, while getting a morning FP for RnR for my husband for the same time. I was also able to get FP for the afternoon we arrive for Big Thunder, Space Mountain, and Buzz, then on a second day was able to get morning FPs for all three MK Mountains. We are only nine days out and our trip is during spring break. I was very pleasantly surprised. The only thing I didn't like is that our trip is for eleven days and passholders are only allowed to book for seven days, so we have nothing for our last four days (which really isn't that big a deal because we are spending two of those days over at Universal and probably one at a beach). I still hate FP+ and feel like we are getting alot less than what we were getting even last spring, but feel better than I did just a few days ago, when I didn't think we'd be able to book any FP+. I do feel like I wasted our money this year on our annual passes and for the first time in almost ten years will not be getting new ones for next year. Between the price increases for APs and getting alot less for our money, we've decided this is going to be our last trip to WDW. I usually go down there 4-6 times a year, but have no desire to go back with all this FP+ mess and longer lines. One thing I noticed yesterday when I was booking our FP+, is that AP holders staying offsite still can't book a FP+ for lunch at Be Our Guest. I went to the website posted here on the DIS and also checked all over WDW's site. When using the site posted here on the DIS, it asks for a resort confirmation number.

I'm still waiting to customize MB. Can you tell me how it happened and how you knew you were able to.

You have to first register your AP in My Disney Experience online. Once you've done that, if you then go to "MagicBands and Cards" under "My Account" in the pulldown menu, you should see a "MagicBand Order" line item, and on the right "Add Shipping Address" button...start with that button.

i saw all that. it said magicbands order: 4 magicbands ( we have 4 in our family)
then i clicked on shipping address. my address was there but when i typed in my name the DONE button at bottom disappeared. Confused. :(

Strange...try another browser...

Ok I have another dilemma. :(
My APs expire April 14. We don't arrive until April 20 which is when we were going to renew. I should be able to make my FP+ ressies, but I am blocked out after April 14 ( probably due to them expiring). Now I don't know what to do about FP+????
This whole thing is driving me crazy. Just when I thought I was all set I'm back to square one. The only reason I'm so stressed about booking FP+ ahead is we will be there for Easter week.

On a good note- my MBs have been shipped and will arrive this week. :)

You are blocked out from booking because you don't have a valid ticket for the dates :(

You can call ticketing and renew. You should get a willcall number for the renewal which you can then register in MDX. You likely will still need to go to the ticket booths to "activate" the new tickets, although now that AP holders can get MBs, I'm not 100% sure how they are handling that.

Do you know if the new AP tickets will be transferred to the MBs I'm getting, or will we need NEW ones? UGH!!

All the magic band does is access your MDE account. The tickets are not "on" your magic band, they are in your account. So when the new tickets are added to your account, the band will be able to access them.
