FP+ Window reduced to 30 days for non-resort guests

If you have a resort stay in the future it'll be 60 days from the resort stay.

If you have no resort stay, 30 days rolling.

Honesty as someone who stays off site, I would be happy to book at the 30 day period heck, I would be happy to book the night before, I just do not want to stand in those fp+ kiosk lines! I am glad they finally extend it to AP because that means hopefully soon offsiters are next.

Interesting...so that explains what delmar411 and I currently see, since we both have an upcoming stay. So I should be able to book up to 60 days, at least up until either my check-in or check-out day, then 60 days from that point becomes a "hard stop" on advanced booking until I get within 30 days, and it starts rolling again, unless I then have another resort stay coming up....

::yes:: ditto just hope it comes in time for my stay.... if not we will just deal with what we get.

Same here!!! Now I'm sorry I ordered the AP ones.

We mostly book day of or night before and it is never an issue. Really. I wouldn't worry about it at all. We are local and randomly decide what park to go to and really haven't been locked out of anything other than TSM. If I book a few extra days in advance getting TSM is easy enough.

The Hub advisory said Passholders are getting a special slider ,maybe that will make you feel better? ;)

Ooh...maybe I WILL order my passholder bands then... ;)

Is the 60/30 day window in the advisory? Just wondering what the source is.

Not necessarily thrilled with the idea of a reduced window, but so far, my experience days that we've had plenty of FP+ availability even just a day or so before visiting a park. 7DMT will make things interesting.

As for AP spending, as an out of stater, we spend plenty on TS dining during our trips. Locals may not spend as much, but there are plenty of us traveling there spending lots, even if we don't stay offsite.

This is good to hear. According to the app I'll be able to book next week.
Still don't know about the MBs yet though.

I agree. I'm disappointed that APs don't have the same window. I mean they're not cheap!!!!
And we too spend plenty on TS...more than I would like.

Yes, the 30day window is in the advisory. Also said if you are staying on site you get the full 60day window plus you can get them for length of stay.

The Passholders package will also have a new discount card/parking card that will either be black (no parking) or gold (free parking) and will have your exp date and name on it.

That may be a function of transitioning. The way I read it, under the new rule if you were checking in onsite 60 days from now you should be able to book during the next 30 day (because you're an AP holder), there would be 29 days you couldn't book, and all of the day of your vacation would be available to book. The question would be are you still limited to 7 total days or is it 7 days + onsite days.

I saw this and think its a nice balance. I would still consider an annual pass, as I'm out of state and would likely stay on site. But even if I lived near enough to use this frequently, it still allows a pretty good window for planning. IMHO.

DisneyMountainWoman, I wonder if you're my other twin! What you have said I totally agree with but especially what is in bold. I have had this thought ever since I read about the new FP program.

I know I'll only get 3 FPs. I'm dealing with it. I know I won't have as much available to me as far as pickins' as an onsite guest. Got it. Dealin'. I know I'll never tour the parks like I did before. I'm swallowing it.

But could I go somewhere, like DTD, the night before we go to the parks just to get this nonsense out of the way so we can just start enjoying the parks like everyone else gets to do once they walk thru the turnstiles?!!! :worship:

Disney screwing over FL Resident AP holders...as expected.

So...we have friends that come at all times of the year and they plan way in advance...when we would have a chance to finally start making FP reservations (for a whopping 1 major ride per day and a couple of other rides), then odds are greatly reduced that we can plan the same times.

Feeling less and less cognitive dissonance about dumping the APs.

Not just FL AP holders, all AP holders. Lots of people with APs travel to Orlando and stay offsite.

I used the fastpass system in January when staying onsite. Yes I made my fast passes 60 days out, but when I actually got there I used my smartphone to change several fast passes on the day I was there and had no problems changing times for the headliner rides... I honestly don't think it makes any difference whether you book 60 days out or hours out. I think people are comparing fast passes to let's say dinner reservations, if you don't book at 180 days on the dot you won't get that character meal... I think the fastpasses are so much more flexible.
