FP + What we know and what we want to know

I just can't imagine what sort of thinking could lead them to really limit the days you could schedule your FP+. For guests like you coming in for a long stay, it would just be a no brainer to then spend more time at US or SW. That just goes contrary to everything Disney has been trying to do in recent years. I won't believe that's possible until I see it.

:thumbsup2 Neither will I! But I'll be very mad if I can't get a FP for EE or RnRC just because I'm staying "too many days"

I don't think that is it at all, I just think they don't want the same people to ride them over and over in the same day. They want different people on them once a day. ::yes::

I think all of this is not for guests like us that are here discussing this to the ninth degree even before it is even released.

They are doing this for the guest that knows nothing except what the Disney travel agent is going to tell him when he books his package.

:) You are probably right about that, they probably didn't think anybody would read the terms and conditions. But it does clearly read limited days to hold FP+:confused3

All of this doesn't pass the "smell test," does it?

"Hey, guys, let's reverse everything we do starting next Thursday...
'cause we've been so horrible at runnin' this theme park stuff since 1955."

Could that limited days part be referring to the part about AP's only getting 20 per quarter... ?Theres another thread on all that.

Question about the booking 60 days in advance. If you call at the 60 day make, from the first day of your trip, would you be able to book all the days of the trip, or would you only be able to book the first day and repeat the process the next X days of your trip? Also, I know nothing if finalizes so stuff is up in the air, but what do you think the process would be?

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I have never booked ADR's so I don't know the process.

Using observation and logic...

If Disney doesn't want guests to "hop," stop offering Park Hoppers.
And, at LEAST stop offering Park Hopping at a newly REDUCED RATE (June 2012) for
those who also purchase the Water Park Fun and More option.

Or, limit the time of day at which guests can hop.

Or, stop offering free transportation between the parks to facilitate
the hopping.

Logic.
Observation.

:thumbsup2 Just offer hopping to AP holders which will lower the numbers considerably.

Well Disney is no Universal..... :rotfl2::rotfl2: (I hate Universal)

Could be I guess. That would be much nicer for Disney_Princess. She can only hope. So if you read it that way, maybe it means if I am local I can't book for three different trips at a time. :confused3

Just the thought of not being able to book your FP+ for your entire trip seems so silly I can't believe it would happen.

I can deal with 20 FP+ (although does that mean 20 days per quarter or 20 FP's in total? ) Too many questions......

I agree... Its hard to imagine that you cant book it for your whole trip...it just doesn't make sense!

The other thread info gave the impression of 20 days... I think.... Im confused .... TOO MUCH INFO... Or lack of!

Amazingly, I don't think that question has been asked yet. I think there was speculation that it might be tied to the level of your resort. But there is absolutely nothing about that in anything we have at our disposal.

But it is a great question. I will put it on the first page. :thumbsup2

No, I just can't belive they would do that.

I think they'd wait and do it on Friday instead. ;)

OK, just kidding. I really think they know they are playing with fire and have the potential to make some big miscalculations along the way. And are just putting all that language in there in case they have to "fix" more things along the way than they anticipate.

Have I mentioned how happy I am not to have a trip coming up? ;)

And you didnt believe they would handle the closing of Test Track for rehab the way they did either. But you were mistaken then.

As far as logic and observation, I would put my money on what information mousermerf has graciously offered up.

Mousermerf sounds more logical and reasoned than a group of people who think they are somehow entitled now to not have to wait in line for more than 15 minutes regardless of the time of year they go.

Too many questions, not enough answers. Too many threads, too many people posting different things... too many.... too many... too many!

:thumbsup2

I'd never thought I'd say this but I'm a little jealous of people who don't have a trip coming up :rotfl2:

I could just be losing it, but I seem to recall it was 5 days of 4 Fps per day. And now that the number appears to be 3 per day for everyone else, I have no idea where that would leave mousermerfs original assertion.

I hadn't even considered that! I'm so used to making ADRs all on one day now, it didn't even occur to me that I might have to get up 10 days in a row at Mickey Dark Thirty to make those. Surely they'd have to do something to prevent that. If that's the case, then the folks on the west coast would really draw the short end of that straw.

So ADRs at 5 AM central 180 days out. Then FP+ at probably the same time at 60 days, 59 days, 58 days...... etc.? That doesn't look like a winner to me.

:confused3 Can you show me a single post that has said that. I've read this thread and the other first page to last page and see nothing like that. :)

You are right! I went back and checked... It was 4 per day for 5 days which doesnt make sense anymore...

One one of our trips, we had to make our ADR's for 2 weeks in a row, at 10pm every night for 14 days! :rotfl2:

Hmmm. Never knew gracious and bitter were synonyms.

Plenty of bitter to go around.
