FP + What we know and what we want to know

Why not? How do you know that at some point it is going to be the only option. All I am saying why let the 'Thought' of something that is not even anything more than a rumor ruin your trip before it even begins.

I am not crazy enought to think that there is no way that it won't ever change but I am also not going to let peoples rumors ruin my trip worring about what might happen someday.

With all due respect I see by your ticker that your trip is in 2 weeks. The odds of YOUR trip being disrupted by the unknown change is highly unlikely.

But for myself, and I believe GreenCountryGirl and several others, our trips are in a few months, right when then proposed chaos is ensuing.

I think we are allowed to express concern over the "rumors," especially since they are being proclaimed by someone who claims to have knowledge of them (even if he won't reveal how or why he came by this information).

3 per park, per day. The three must be in the same park for any given day. You can't get a FP+ for Space Mountain in the morning and another for TSMM for late in the afternoon.

I am not sure we know that entirely for sure. I am taking it to mean that we can't pre-schedule more than 3 in a day or in different parks. But I don't think we yet know if we are able to get more, if supply allows.

What are these great FP abuses?? I only used FP like Disney told me to. I came at RD, pulled a FP, rode a ride and then either pulled another FP (if my time was open), got in another SB like or rode the ride I had a FP for. How is that abuse?? You can only pull a FP when Disney allowed it and now you can only ride during your alloted time. If they wanted me to pull less FP's then make it longer window before I can get another one. But one day we spent 16 hours in MK and to ask me to do that with only 3 or 4 FPs may be too much to ask. We would be leaving the park early and not spending anymore money inside the park. But I know Disney won't miss us or our money.

FP abuse is dependent upon who you ask.

1. Mousemerf asserts basically that Disney never intended for people to use FP they way they have been used even though Disney allowed it for a long time.
2. Others will say FP abuse occurred because "superusers" stock piled FPs during the days of pre-enforcement and it prevented guests that arrived later in the day to get FPs for attractions like TSMM and soaring
3. There have also been reports about people abusing FPs by selling them. They would be easier to sell pre-enforcement days but more difficult now.
4. I, personally believe that it was abuse of the FP system in the pre-enforcement days for some people to pull more FPs than their group needed because they wanted to spread some "pixie dust" to others and give them FPs. The FPs do state on them that they are non-transferable. Disney doesnt need a secondary FP distribution channel, IMO.

There may be other instances of what people think FP abuse is, but those were the ones that cam to mind right away

Eventually, and relatively quickly, it looks like there won't be a normal FP- to pull at all once FP+ goes live.

I think so, because the point is with FP+ you no longer have paper tickets, and you need paper tickets to use the old FP.

I do understand, I am not trying to be rude or tell you that your feeling are not important I am just trying to give you a little comfort in the fact that nothing is definate yet. I really hope that you have a magic trip and that everything stays the same for you.

Keep in mind that to the best of our knowledge "once you use fp+" means when you trade in your paper ticket to get the RFID bracelet, once you do that you will not have anything to feed into the fp- machines anywhere on property.

Ok so if we were to go to Hollywood Studios and get (1)FP+ for Rockin Rollercoaster, (1)FP+ for Star Tours then leave and go to Epcot and get (1) FP+ for Test Track would we still have (1) FP+ left for Hollywood Studios and (2) FP+left for Epcot later on?

We never stockpiled fastpasses because we used them as we went along. That was just our touring style. As for giving them away, I only did this when we had already pulled fastpasses for use but then had to leave for whatever reason. Throwing them away seemed pointless since we already had them.

Some would say that my desire to ride Star Tours more than once via fastpass would be abusing the system. That one really puzzles me. I don't see anything as an abuse if it was allowed by Disney.

But some of those have been fixed by enforcing the return time and others could have been addressed within the system the way it was. Just make the return to use my FP longer and a longer window until I can get another pass. That would have brought down the number of FPs I can get in a day. And it would be easier to handle that Disney telling me I can only have 3 or 4 a day no matter what time I get there or how long I stay. We get there and RD and most all days are there when they close the park. So someone that comes in for only a few hours...and spends less money because of it, if that is what this is about...get the same amount of FP's as my family that spends our whole day there. It just really doesn't seem like the best way to handle the "problems" there seems to be with the current system.

At this point, I dont really understand how disney can call FP+ an "enhancement"?

It seems that they are just converting the standard FP into FP+, but now limiting your FP's to 3 a day in one park. Assuming there is a steady flow of people entering an eticket for their designated FP+ time, I fail to see how the standby line gets shorter? I suspect it would stay the same or even have a longer wait time since people now only have 3 FP+ per day

I don't think they'll be pooled like the dining credits are. If RR and ST are both "top tier" rides you probably won't be able to fast pass them both in that day if the current rumors hold true. You could fastpass one or the other and 2 bottom tier rides or shows at HS that one day. The next day you'd have 1 top tier and 2 top tier for whatever park you're in. That's if everything stays as is with no changes, who knows.

Disney has changed the pin code policy for MyMagic+ 'touch to pay' payments effective today. All 'touch to pay' purchases on a Key to the World Resort ID card now require a PIN code. Previously, only purchases over $50 required a PIN code to be entered.
