FP+ w/ Park Hopper off-site

Simple question for those who have used the FP kiosks that are now in the parks. When a person that is staying off-site that does not have access to advanced FP+ reservations goes to a kiosk to schedule FPs for the day, do they only have access to the attractions that are in the park they are in or do they have access to any of the 4 parks if they have a park hopper? For example, if I'm going to the AK in the morning but know that I'll be going to HS later in the evening can I go ahead and book my 3 FPs for HS when I enter in AK in the morning? I would not want to use them at AK as I would be there early but I also don't want them to be gone by the time I go to HS later in the day. Has anyone dealt with this yet and have some insight on it? Are FPs running out in the afternoon even a problem?

This is going to be a hot topic. We were there over the holidays and while we were staying on grounds and could "schedule" our fast passes the rest (6) of our family was off ground. They were running the "test" of this stupid new system a ak and the lines were crazy just to set up you fast passes. Anyway supervisor asked me my thoughts which was a bad thing to do but won't get into it here other than to advise. You on your question. I asked if they were trying to discourage and lose the money for those that like to park hop! Her response was that has been the biggest complaint that if as you stated you wanted to goto ak in the am and then hop over to hs that you would have to ride as a standby patron. She said they were going to take data from the ask test run and work out the issues. Looks like that is a lie as they are rolling out the completely paperless system this week.

Suggestion to you, and I wish I coupled help on this but can't , find out where the kiosks will be. The kiosk at the front of the parks are going to be swamped so enter and find a kiosk more into the park to do your schedule.

Good luck and unfortunately plan on standing in line.

Re read your post you might want to flip flop and make ask second half of day as TMS fast passes will be long gone by the time you get there in afternoon. Sorry for rant but this may be the dumbest decision disney has made! I know we went at the busiest time of year but TMS fp were gone by 10am when we were there.

Not sure the question was answered. If you are in one park, can you make your FP+ reservations at the Kiosk for another park? I would like to know also.

But you could go to Hollywood Studios first thing in the morning and (usually) get Fastpasses for a known time much later in the day, then hop to Animal Kingdom.

You could not do this reliably with the old fashioned paper Fastpasses.
