I have searched, and read, searched and read but I can't seem to find the answer to a burning question.

If we are using FP+ in Epcot during the morning and then in the afternoon we hop over to MK are we able to get the other type of fast passes for Splash mountain etc?

TIA for your patience and help.

The two systems are completely independent of each other, so yes.

However, the better strategy would be to schedule FP+ for the second park (presumably in the afternoon/evening) and use legacy FP or just the shorter lines in the first park (presumably in the morning).

:thumbsup2 This is my plan also. There have been reports that some of the E ticket rides (Soarin, TSMM, TT, etc) have been running out of FP's by late morning / early afternoon so it's better to use FP- in the morning and have FP+ already reserved for after you hop.

It also may depend on when you are going. Starting tomorrow, Pop Century guests will only be able to have FP+, not FP-. No one really knows when it will roll out to all the other resorts. So, it is a bit more tricky to make plans because if it rolls out to all the resorts by the time of your trip, you won't have access to FP-. Having said that, I still think if you are going to park hop, setting up FP+ for the evening park and using shorter standby lines at the morning park is a good strategy.

Thank you for the tips! This is our first trip to WDW and am I overwhelmed but this forum has been a blessing with all the info.

We leave in 23 days, staying at the Polynesian and hoping the 4 year old grows another 1/2 inch in the next three weeks so he can ride splash mountain.
