For the shows and parades where are the viewing areas? Specifically MK parades, MK fireworks, Illuminations

We spend a great deal of time sitting as we really enjoy these. Is fp helpful? Should we save these for rides?

In the absence of maps, the green link in my signature describes the locations, among other things FP-related.

Can't beat robo's post...... He's right on about the location. For a subjective answer about 'are they worth it?'

In my opinion - YES!!!!

We do at least one firework fast pass + every time. We did wishes last time and would've done illuminations but it was already sold out by the time i booked. We've also done this for the electrical parade.

If you don't get a fast pass, here's how it goes...You get there 2 hours early, reserve your spot, only to get pushed and shoved and stood in front of by rude people. Right? With fast pass, there's none of that! you can hang around, shop, eat, or ride, until time to enter for fast pass and you're pretty much guaranteed a great spot!! I've never had such a great spot for the electrical parade as I did with fast pass plus! I just recommend limiting them to one a day so that you can also ride some other long line attractions as well.

So for instance, the fast pass selections could be:
1.) Wishes/Space Mountain/peter pans flight
OR
2.) Electrical Parade/Space Mountain/peter pans flight

Wrong. I'm not going to agree with this characterization at all. Not for parades, and certainly not for Wishes or Illuminations. I can find what I call great spots for any of these experiences usually 20 or 30 minutes beforehand, and while it does happen, rude people are not as common as sometimes portrayed here.

Maybe you to to disney with nicer people than when I do :-) It's just been my experience.

Do you really stake out spots for Wishes and IllumiNations two hours beforehand? MSEP on Main Street I can believe, but these two?

Does anyone know if after MSEP they make you move out of the FP+ area, or can you stay and enjoy the castle projection show from there?

Robo has a really good map showing where you want to move too. It's my understanding they don't make you move but that you are so close to the castle you can't really enjoy Wishes....you can't see everything.

Yes, the MSEP FP+ area ceases being "roped off" or "reserved" as soon as the parade passes, anyway. It's just "another spot on the street"
following the parade.

If you choose FP+ for MSEP only, I've included red arrows to show where to MOVE
for viewing Wishes (and Celebrate the Magic) right after the parade passes the parade FP+ reserved area.

I noticed today that I can't choose that option on my FP+ list. Is this a glitch, or perhaps they are suspending those options until the hub construction is complete? (Could not choose Parade or Fireworks option at MK.)

When is your trip? The parade and Wishes showed up for me about 2 weeks before my trip. There were still openings today and we arrive on Friday.

When I went in Dec, the parades and nighttime entertainment didn't show up in MDE until later...maybe 30 days out or so. Not sure when your trip is, but that could be the issue.

Sometimes those choices don't appear until as late as 2-3 days before the actual date.

Sorry for butting in, but, on a related note: Is the Illuminations viewing area for those who buy the Candlelight Processional package the same as the FP+ viewing area?

Thanks for the maps those are helpful. Looks great for Wishes but as I'm only 5 feet the areas look really deep. Could you see over heads if you don't go early. And yes I watch the curbs and have camped as long as 3 hours for the parade around Christmas. Feedback is appreciated.

The F+ reserved viewing area is next to the Candlelight reserved viewing area.

You might need to "jockey around" a bit.
Most folks can be accommodating if asked nicely.

If you arrive, say, 30-45 minutes before the parade start time, you could
secure a front-row viewing position and just hold onto it.

Special needs can require a bit of special planning.
