FP+ Tips and Tricks

My DD and I were part of the August test group and loved MB and FP+!!

This weekend I've been helping 4 different families prepare for their upcoming trips so have spent a lot of time on MDE.

One tip I've found for changing existing FP+ reservations might be helpful to others.

How to change an existing FP+ reservation to a parade or fireworks FP+

If you have a reservation for a ride at 1:00 and want to change it to MSEP that starts at 8:00, this will require two steps.

Step 1. Change the existing FP+ reservation to a window that includes 8:00
Step 2. Change the experience and select MSEP

If you attempt to change an existing 1:00 FP+ reservation and are looking for MSEP it will not be displayed since it's not during the current window. Following the steps above will solve this.

A second tip - You are able to change a FP+ even if you have missed the window completely. A couple of days we decided to have slower starts so missed our first FP+ reservations because we were not yet in the parks. Even though our windows were from 9:30 - 10:30 and we didn't arrive in the park until after 11:00, we could still change that old FP+ time and/or event even though technically the time had expired.

A third tip - If you receive a 'bonus FP+' (sometimes happens with MK) you can change this FP+ to a different one if you wish. My SIL received ones for Haunted Mansion and thought she might need to keep them even though this ride was too frightening for their young DD but we were able to exchange it for something that worked better for their family.

I know there are a number of FP+ and MB threads out there but thought one for tips might be helpful.

I have tried everything and can't get FP+ options for any of the parades or fireworks. I tried changing one of my choices to 8-9 pm to try to get the MSEP but it says there are no other choices for that timeslot. I also tried this for the 2nd parade at 10pm with no success. This has been so frustrating. Do you know of anything else that might work?

I believe the fireworks and parades are only being offered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings so you'll need to ensure you select one of these nights. Also, I noticed when helping a friend book her FP+ yesterday that MSEP is not showing every night in September so you'll want to check and see what nights it is playing. I do this on allears.net and go to their planning area.

Illuminations was showing up at the weekends; but I haven't seen MSEP or Wishes appear for late September/early October yet.

I booked in the F! Dining package at the 6 month stage; so I haven't been stalking those FP+.

I've been checking most days.

From about 9/25 on there are no FP+ available for Wishes or MSEP and Illuminations is only on the weekend.

I called Disney IT, and they told me that they have not released WIshes or MSEP for those dates, and they are not sure if they are going to.

Best bet would be to keep checking

Does anyone know yet, if it will let you select the same ride twice? I would much rather ride Soarin twice than waste the FP on something else. TIA

To date it is not possible to ride the same ride on the same day twice. Personally I'd be surprised if they ever offered this as it would allow those 'in the know' to snap up all the best FO+ reservations leaving less/none for those who come on board later on.

Are you having trouble finding a number to get you signed in or is it finding an available time once logged into the FP+ BOG system?
