FP+ timing question

Sorry if this seems obvious but it's totally new to me! We are aiming for 5 full days in the park, so going by what's on here; we are booking FPs for around 11.30 am to 4 pm. I know the first couple of hours after rope drop are less busy and as the evening goes on, it seems to quieten down. Is this right? Does this sound like a good plan? Thanks in advance.

Sounds good to me! We do the same, booking our FP+ for 11-12, 12-1, 1-2.

There are basically two schools of thought here, one - your plan is solid, especially if you want to go for additional FP's. The drawback would be if you plan to be in the park at night, there would be quite a wait for any of the headliners. Option two, you can rope drop as planned, stay in the park until the crowds become uncomfortable, then take an afternoon break, saving your three FP's for the evening. Some of the attractions (Big Thunder, Splash, and Jungle Cruise) have some added appeal at night.

We're doing 3 days at each of these parks; Epcot, Hollywood and Animal Kingdom, so was planning on sticking to my above plan. Now, you've reminded me that I'd like to some rides at night, I'm thinking one of the 2 Magic Kingdom days would work well if we took an afternoon break aka nap time! Thank you.
