FP+ Tiering Gone?

My mom is leaving tomorrow for WDW and was telling me about her FP+ selections and how she got Soarin' and TT, and TSMM and TOT at Hollywood Studios.
I told her no way with the tiering system, as I just got back a week ago and I couldn't choose those together.
She said she chose something different first, then went in and changed it an the system let her. She even showed me her selections on the computer and they were there. Have they taken away the tiering as of now?

That was happening last week at some point for a few hours, but has since stopped.

Being able to book both Soarin' and Test Track would be news. Those are both Tier 1.

Booking both Toy Story Midway Mania and Tower of Terror would not be news. The former is Tier 1 and the latter is Tier 2.

As others have mentioned, tiering is still in effect. There was a very temporary glitch in the system last Tuesday that allowed people to switch a tier 2 item to a tier 1 after it was booked. But the glitch is now fixed.

TSMM and TOT are in separate tiers. Soarin and TT are both tier one, but it sounds like she may have been lucky and happened to make a change during the one day last week when a system glitch allowed this.

Why don't they just rename MDE to GLITCH and be done with it?. Truth in advertising.
