FP+ System is Buggy and has serious issues.

Either way very frustrating. Sounds like the software that Disney is using for the websites is having many issues interacting with the App version.

Hopefully, Disney is working out these software glitches.

I'd agree with that. I had my laptop with me in the resort, and never had any issues making, changing, viewing etc. on the website. Every issue I've had has been with the App. Which is the prime way to use it while your at the park. :confused3
 
I'm not sure about you, but we received one of the post-trip FP+ surveys and detailed our technical issues in that.

I got no survey at all, I don't think they cared about my opinion. :rotfl:



I agree with this, before anyone panics, go to another section of the app and then go back in and try to edit. I had a couple times last week were I went to double check a time for a FP and someone from our group of 8 had disappeared. But, when I left the reservations page and then went back in to edit everyone was there properly

Nope- for us DH's was definitely not changed with our other two. He had not disappeared and he still had the correct Soarin FP+ changed time, but not the 2nd one I had changed. I agree though with all the "ghost" FPs and disappearing/reappearing that closing the app and going back in or at least trying to go to another section of it and come back would be the first move to make. I seem to recall a panic moment on one morning during our trip when the app was showing no FP+ for anyone for the day, but then when I closed the app and went back in they were all there.
 
Here's a thought ---I wonder if after you've made changes on your app via your smartphone or whatever device you are using, that you then have to power off the phone completely and then power it back on forcing a sync to happen. I have an itouch where some of my apps are fussy-so then I have to power the touch off then turn it back on and that usually works. The other thought I have is that apps often appear much different on a small device vs a larger one. So, I wonder too if all the information is there but you can't see it all.

The trouble is, IT has never been Disney's forte. So why in the world they would be so bold as to use something IT based as a platform for pretty much every aspect from booking to leaving Disney property is beyond me. I have had countless issues with my DME account and this even before my FP+ window arrived.

As for powering off and on the phone or tablet, yes I agree that has helped with certain problems in my case and is worth a try but really, having to do all this because of a system that was implemented prematurely is very frustrating.

And the testing phase excuse they are giving is getting a bit old. This may be a test but there is no longer an option to use the original (more stable) system because they have removed that. Testing is no longer voluntary. And many of us booked our trips before we knew all of this.
 

I have not had any of these issues and am in no way disappointed in disney.

I have not had any of these issues either, but I am disappointed in Disney because other people have. I am also staying onsite, but I'm upset that other people are waiting in long lines to book their FP.

I too spent many hours total, on the phone, with IT tech support at Disney, trying to get everyone in our travel group on the same FP+ time schedule. It appears that even when you "select all," it arbitrarily leaves the fastpass+ selections off for some of the travel party. It's as if the FP+ quota gets filled by some in the party and the rest are left unfilled.

The app worked about half the time. I put my phone away after taking as many screen grabs of what I thought were my FP+'s and got on with it. The guest relations people at the FP+ kiosks were able to fix most of my issues. When I had trouble, I showed the screen grabs of my fastpass and got waved through the line, when the Micky Orb turned fail-blue.

As to the competency of our IT people, what can we expect from our domestic IT pool when over the past decade, or so, we have exported our IT jobs overseas?

I guarantee you this is why you can't hop at the moment. They know they can't even handle what they've got let alone bring a whole other tier of issues into the mix. They ought to just call it Pandora's Pass+

This is so true. IT folk were fantastic on the phone - so pleasant to deal with but it should not have taken nearly four hours worth of phone calls to sort it out. I have not touched my account since they sorted out all the ghost guests and extra tickets that appeared but what do you know .... I just logged in and my DD and I are both on there ... twice :headache:

I just get the feeling the folk working on this system were saying "Guys, this is not ready" and someone 'with authority' but totally out of touch with the how guests use the system and how complex this all is was snapping back "I'm not interested, make it ready. It's going live on x date, ready or not."

Now we have this!
 
And by the way that's probably why the FP+ lines have been so long. Because the system isn't working correctly, and the fact the CM's have been instructed to make people happy, I'm more than sure they're waving a bunch of people through who are/were able to take advantage of the system. Its very vulnerable attm...
 
I'm sorry you are having these issues. WDW definitely needs to work out the bugs.
 
They will but they have never encountered anything like this before... We're going to see some history made before all is said and done. I just hope it ends up to be good history...
 
I still have two ghost tickets attached to my MDE from A YEAR AGO. We went the very beginning of March 2013 and bought and linked two 2-day adult tix. We used them up. They are still on my account.

Maybe it has changed since I last looked (months ago) but I believe there was a delete or disable button next to tickets that were no longer active.
