FP+ System changed my times.... what?

So I logged on tonight and it looks like my FP+ choices for 9:20 am and 10:35 am have been switched to pm. What? I don't know how this happened other than thinking that maybe there was a change because one of them was for 7DMT and in all the confusion, FP+ system had a glitch. Has anyone had this problem? What is the chance that I can call Disney when they open in the morning and get this fixed? I have screenshots from before showing the times I booked in case that helps. Thanks all. Wish me some pixie dust!

1. If you are sure you originally had AM, then it must be a glitch.

this happened to me last week...but not only had the times changes, but two rides had changed as well.

I called them up and got the one put back to a similar timeframe, but as the other was 7DMT, of course it didn't have any availability for the day...when the CM asked if there was another ride I would like I explained I really wanted to have my original selections. When he said they can't do anything if the system says there are no more available slots, but he did add a fourth FP to our MDE itinerary for that day that is good from 8 am to 11 pm on "select rides"...with a note on it that says 7 Dwarves...so we will see how that works.

Then of course the next day I thought the system was showing that it reverted back to what I had...but that only lasted for a few minutes (maybe it was cached pages on my computer).

Anyway, I have been checking every day to make sure nothing changed again. So far, no other errors.
 
Want to hear strange? MDE shows we both have 2 FP+ for 7DMT for this Saturday night, along the 2 others we booked for MSEP & Wishes. I don't want to try and cancel the wrong/ghost ressie since I don't know which one is the real one I actually booked (back to back times).

If nothing changes between now and your date, show up for the FIRST FP+ toward the end of the window (last 15-20 minutes.)

Then, if you CAN board, so be it.
If not, you'll only have 10-15 minutes to wait.

I have a "ghost" 4th FP that's been hanging around for a while now (2 weeks or more). But when I go into the modify FP+ area I can see which are my 3 "real" ones, the 4th isn't in there. But the ghost one shows up in my itinerary on the app and website. :confused3

I'm sorry this happened to you! But I believe since it was Disney's mess up then they should make it right! Telling you there wasn't anything they could do for you isn't right.

Well, since I already had a 7DMT FP+ for earlier in the week, I didn't want to be too pushy about it...and I believe them that they can't just stick someone in and over-ride the system. And who knows, after riding it earlier in the week, we may not be too upset if it is as "kiddie ride" as people say...DD LOVES BTMR and the Runaway Mine Train at Six Flags over Texas...so thought she would like this one when they were building, but the constant reference to it as a "family coaster" has me thinking it will be more like the Barnstormer for thrills.

I do feel the gift of a fourth FP+ good at any time...up until 11 pm (park is open till 1 am...with EMH until 3 am...but bet lines get REAL SHORT after 11)
was a nice way to make up for it...I like that I don't need to have used my other 3 FP+'s to schedule it...and if I can use it for 7DMT fine...if not, another BTMR would make DD happy.

This is one of the unintended consequences of FP+.

When there is a glitch (and there are LOTS of glitches) the system (and CMs) can't usually "fix" difficult-to-obtain (in-demand) FP+, as they have all been taken.

If there is a major system error and dozens (up to hundreds) of FP+ reservations are negatively affected, there's not much that can be done to obtain "apples-to-apples" replacement FPs.

If they are all booked, they're booked.

Another reason that this "new system" is not a favorite of so many guests who have run the numbers.
It is virtually UNMANAGEABLE if the system makes an error.

Those are probably your 3 real ones. I haven't heard of anyone being able to use the ghosts. For us, the ghosts dropped off the itinerary on the day of (two trips now).
 
So here's the rest of the story... I called this morning and the first guy I got was no help at all. He said that he couldn't do anything, but offered to transfer me to Guest Services. The lady I got there was SUPER nice and helpful. I explained that I had screenshots from the original bookings and she asked if I could email them to her. I did and she was able to work some Disney magic and get it back to where I have FP+s. I am not sure how, but they are back and I have new printouts to take with me in case of technology blip again. I am so incredibly thankful that Disney does have some great employees who make magic happen. :yay:

And the moral of the story? ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS screenshot or print your ADRs and FP+. Without that it would be a much different story! :lovestruc
 
I would think since we get emails of the ADRS, those would be good enough...will start screenshooting my FP+'s.

But, this morning, when I logged on for my daily "let's see if HM had any availibility on the 20th" (day it reopens) and I noticed 7DMT was an option for...not the best time for me (4:20-5:20, the time we will be finishing up our nap since we will be at the park till 3am) but I grabbed it anyway, might be able to switch the time later on.

So now I have my original 3 rides reselected, and only one has the wrong time...AND that additional 4th FP+ already set to be selected at RD...going to be a great day.
