FP+ Strategy When Park Hopping

We are planning to park hop in early September. Is it best to book advance fp+ for our morning park, and try to get same day fp+ for our 2nd park, or book our advance fp+ for the evening park?

Day 1: HS / AK - HS has EMMH
Day 2: AK / HS - AK has EMMH

If we book fp+ for our morning park, what are our chances of getting same day fast passes for later in the day for the following attractions?

AK - EE, KRR, KS
HS - TSMM, RnR, TOT (I know we can only pick one initially due to the tiers)

We do FP for the second park. We get to park one a little before rope drop for the best chances of riding multiple long wait rides. Then, when you go to the next park, you don't have to worry as much about wait times, or wondering if you'll be able to get a 4th you really need/want. With AM EMH, you should be able to do TSMM, then right to RNRC, then TOT pretty easily if you are there towards the front and walk at a decent pace during rope drop. Only thing is, the when you do HS second, you'll only be able to FP one of them and it doesn't seem likely to get one for the other (not impossible by any means, just have to be lucky I think).

Thanks for the advice. You're right, with the AM EMH we should be able to get a lot done at the first park!

I strongly recommend making the most of those morning EMH and the first two hours after rope drop at that first park, and save your pre-booked FPs for the second park.

Day 1: During HS EMH, be sure to ride RNR coaster & the Great Movie Ride. Get AK FPs for Kali River Rapids, Primeval Whirl and either the Lion King or Finding Nemo show.

Day 2: During AK EMH, I recommend Expedition Everest, Dinosaur & Kilimanjaro Safaris (in that order). For your HS FPs, I recommend Toy Story, Tower of Terror, and Star Tours.

I would not waste 40 minutes during EMH to ride GMR. The line for it builds much slower than other places. I also wouldn't use a FP on Primeval Whirl. I get that you are trying to knock out X things with your RD and X things with your FP+ selections, but I think most people would prefer to ride the best rides twice.

That is entirely a matter of personal opinion. Many people, especially many families, only like to ride an attraction once each visit.

It is personal opinion, as is someone only wanting to ride everything once. I really think only first timers would be interested in doing everything once instead of focusing on repeats, and that is only from lack of knowing what their favorites are. A PW FP is pretty much always a bad choice. I'm at a bit of a loss for this specific plan because it seems to be either an incomplete trip, or a very odd one. I can't imagine someone coming to Disney and only doing 2 days, and spending all of both days at DHS and AK, but getting a PH. But my assumption, based on these two days, is that you can do EVERYTHING in BOTH parks WAY more than once each. I think you could do all of the rides 3 times each easily. If they only want to do each thing once in 2 days at 2 half day parks, then honestly there isn't really any way for them to go wrong and no strategy is needed. If that's the case, FP DHS both days (to get both TSMM and RnR) and easily get everything in the first 2 hours at RD fro AK.

:rolleyes2 Like I said, different strokes...It's Disney- individuality and imagination are accepted, not just rigid ideas of what is "right" or "wrong".

You can roll your eyes all you want. Yes, it's all up for opinion. But I think most would agree that your's is not the best strategy. And since you were only one of 2 to respond, I felt the need to contradict. Keep using your FPs on PW, GMR, and Buzz Lightyear all you want. The more actually useful FPs to go around for the rest of us. I'm trying to help out someone asking for advice make the most out of their time.
