FP+ should be available at 56/28, not 60/30

I just realized there's a major problem with FP+. The 60/30 window is stupid and should be 56/28.

To illustrate my point let's look at my upcoming trip. We arrive on Saturday 8/29. 60 days prior is Tuesday June 30. This means I have to be up until 3AM on a weekday just to do FP+.

Think about it, everyone arrives on Saturday or Sunday (OK, not EVERYONE, but you know what I mean). FP+ booking should be Friday night/Saturday morning or Saturday night/Sunday morning. Your first FP+ booking day should be a multiple of 7 so it coincides with your arrival day.

Unlike many complaints/arguments/whining about FP+ that happens on this site, hopefully this is an idea we can all get behind.

56/28! Let's make it happen!

Um, no. Not everyone arrives on a weekend. Not everyone lives in your time zone. Not everyone even feels the compulsion to be online at the first second FPs are available. And this is Disney tech we're talking about. Can you imagine how fast their site would crash if everyone had to make their fastpass reservations ONLY on Sat or Sun, instead of having it spread out over the week? Please.

Why do you have to be up until 3am? Where is there a place that's 3 hours ahead of Florida? Or do you think it's going to take you 3 hours to do your FPs?

I go for a week sometimes and sometimes I go for long weekends depending on my plans. Not always coming and going on a Saturday.

I would never remember 56/28 :-)

yes really unless OP lives in the atlantic ocean i don't see the need to stay up til 3am.

now with ADR's you may be up at 3am if you live on the west coast and want to book right at 6am est.

Why 3am? I just booked ours for August. Got everything and was done in about 15 minutes. I had a list including mine train and Elsa. I was done by 12:15. And why arrive on a weekend? Cheaper to fly on a weekday. I prefer the midnight than 6am for dining

I'm sorry, this just doesn't make any sense to me.

Then again, I never seem to have trouble with FP+. I'm an AP, and I live only 3 hours south of WDW. My trips are never booked more than 30 days in advance, and I never have trouble getting FP's for the headliners. The only one I've never gotten is A&E, but that can be done at rope drop or closing.

Best of luck with your FP selections. I'm hoping you're able to select everything that you really want :) If not, keep trying!

Of all the very "important" battles that we wage on these boards in an effort to improve WDW, I'd rather focus my efforts on securing fourth FP rights for all, helping Future World cross the bridge to the 21st century (a decade and a half too late), and ensuring that Anna and Elsa's invasion ends at Norway's borders.

You really don't need to book your FP+ first thing when your FP window rolls over. The only thing I wasn't able to get for my upcoming trip was Illuminations FP at Epcot on July 4. I was able to get decent SDMT/A&E times up until 16 days before my trip. I can still get any of the other FP+ that are viewed as difficult to get (at times I want) and I am 8 days out from my trip right now. I get the mentality that you need to log on as soon as your time comes up but please don't stress yourself out or cause yourself to be exhausted all day at work because of it.

Just for fun I went to timeanddate.com, to their world clock, and the one and only location I found that is exactly 3 hours ahead of eastern standard is Cape Verde, an island nation west of Senegal. Wonder if that's where the OP lives! lol

I was thinking the OP wanted to make it for the same date, 1 or 2 months in advance, so if you were going September 30th, you could book on July 30th.....cuz I can never remember what day it actually is.....I feel dumb and I always go looking for the ADR calculator hahaha
