FP+ Reservations for Large Groups

My FastPass reservation window is coming up soon and I have concerns about booking for a large group. I’m comfortable with the reservation process, but Ive only done it for my family of 4. This time, It’ll be a group of 12, and since I’m the DW vetaran, I have been designated to plan the whole trip.

Can anyone explain the process for reserving for a party of 12.

This will be my families 8th trip, but everyone else’s first trip. Last thing I want to do is mess things up.

The process is the same, it just might be harder since you have so many. A great suggestion is, if you can't get everyone in the group for one time setting, stagger them and try to get overlapping options. For instance, if you're looking for a 12:00 p.m. FP+, maybe have six for 12-1, and six for 12:30-1:30. That way you all can still ride at the same time, but the FP+ selections aren't for the exact same time slot.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll definitely remember to stagger.

Is there anything special that I have to do in order to be able to reserve for everyone in MDE?

When I went with a group of 18 in November, I had everyone book their own families fast passes. I was only responsible for my family and one other. I booked the fast passes first, and then I sent my completed list of FP’s with times to everyone. It worked out great, we were all literally within five minutes of each other. Good luck!!!

I've never booked for a group quite that large, but I don't believe you have to do anything special aside from just making sure you have everyone selected. And obviously make sure they're all linked in MDE.

I did this for 13. First time ever booking FP+ so I had no clue what I was doing. I had some problems with people not having their tickets linked. So that is the main thing making sure everyone has their own tickets linked and they are connected to your planning party. Otherwise I think it will all be the same. I had no issue getting time around when I wanted them I did mess with and tweak them after they were all secured. I do not think staggering is necessary I would suggest getting the closest time and then tweaking from there. I found it was common to go back later and find the time I was looking for by modifying. We are there for 10 days though so we were able to get most of the days booked really early.

You will want to make sure everyone has their tickets linked and that they are all in your friends and family list. Start sending reminders at least a month in advance.

I booked for 12 a month or so ago. I didn’t have to split my group up. I managed SDD twice, FOP and 7DMT. I recommend doing them in that order then go in and fill the rest of your days.

Have your plan written out as a guide for yourself. For me it works well to have my DH or my teenage DD read me what FP I want next, the date and the time I want to try for. Then I just grab what is closet and go back in and tweak once they are all made.

Good luck!

About 45 days ago I booked for our party of 9. I started with FOP for the days I wanted, then did SDD, and SDMT. Then I went back back and filled in the other fast passes on those days. I got everything I wanted in the general timeframe I was looking for. You should be just fine.

Thanks everyone. I guess I have to make sure everyone is registered on MDE and linked their reservations and tickets.

Once everyone in your group links their park ticket you can practice making fast-passes for all of them.

YEP. Good luck with that. I ended up having to just put everyone in my account because nobody would do it. Sigh. We had a package so I just needed the reservation numbers which I had since I was getting all the TA emails as the designated "planner". We were a group of 13. I never had to split up into smaller groups to get FPs for the same things and I even had to change entire days around when we were there. This was 2016, though, so no FoP or SDD.
