Has it been determined yet if regular FP will still be available when FP+ is fully operating? My search isn't working and a co-worker has to make ADR's today for Feb....TIA

the terms & conditions that Disney released said that you would not be able to use FP regular if opted in for FP+. Currently under testing you can double dip, but according to what is currently known that won't be possible once fully implemented. There is generally discussion as to whether under FP+ you will be able to get additional FP+ at the park beyond the 3/4 that can be pre-reserved.

All indications point to regular Fastpass continuing to exist. However it may be electronic instead of using paper slips and perhaps be referred to as Same Day Fastpass Plus.

Sorry to hijack but I m curious on how u know if u have to use FP+? I really don't know much about it and we are staying on rental points at AKV in November so should I be worried about this? I also cannot get my ressie to link on MDE either so does that have anything to do with it? Again sorry to ask on your thread u just have me thinking! Thanks!

Thank you everyone. I just looked at my own reservations for March. 2 rooms at OKW. Assuming FP+ will be available then, do I have to have all adults register with my Disney Experience before I can make FP+ reservations for them? UGH...this is kind of a pain and I am a 50+ visitor to WDW..........

Regular FP (i.e. FP-) will definitely not continue to exist long after FP+ is fully rolled out. But as you say, you may still be able to make same-day ressies using FP+.

No one knows whether it will be fully rolled out by November (probably not), or whether there will be more testing rounds (probably), or whether or not you will be eligible for that testing (???).

Yes.

What about Florida residents who have annual passes? They won't be planning each and every day they come to the park and wouldn't choose to use FP plus -- at least I wouldn't think so.
What happens if they want to get a fast pass the way they always have, which would depend on the lines, the weather, the day, etc.
Just wondering.
It doesn't seem to me that fast pass plus is the answer for everyone who wants to use fast pass............
:confused3

Same-day FP+s will be available.

Allowed? Possibly. Actually available? Depends on how many get snapped up during the 59 day period preceeding your visit by other guests.

IMO, it seems like they're simply pushing the rope drop stampede to the TSMM Fastpass machine back 60 days. Now instead of rushing to it at 9am, you'll have to wake up at 7am 60 days out to make your reservation...like trying to get ADR's for Ohana and BOG.

That is exactly my fear. I do check crowd calenders and ride times but I don't want to do any more planning than that.

So happy to see this as I was just trying to remember what I had read about this and the search function was of no help.
I know about the double dipping but cant remember is it with the Magic Bands and your KTTW card or with your Magic Band and, in my case, your UT ticket.

Thanks so much for anyone who can fill in the blanks in my memory.

Karen :)
