Before I even ask, please note I am in no way trying to "cheat" the system! I am honestly wondering how this will work in my scenario!

We are going to WDW for 9 days, 8 nights. My dad got us his timeshare for the first 7 nights. So we are going to book the Poly for our last night! Thought we would go out with a bang!

I can book the one night and our tickets and memory maker as a package. So my question is since it's a package through Disney with the tickets will I get to book FP+ at 60 days or only at 30 since it is the end of our trip.

Just trying to understand it all!

Thanks in advance!

Your FP window will open up for 60 days from the start of your onsite resort stay, but it won't let you book for days earlier than that first night. For those you would have to wait until the 30 day window opens. Or at least that's the way it appears when we've booked. There is a window on the calendar of the days we are onsite and we can't pick random dates beforehand.

I think if you worked it the other way around, Poly first, you could get 60 days for your entire stay (up to the number of days tickets). If you do Poly last, I would get your tickets separate because otherwise you will have to go to guest relations to get them activated early from the package.

I don't think I'd book that last night as a package. Make it a room only and just buy your tickets separately to cover the whole time. If you buy the package tickets on your last night for the full stay, you won't be able to make fastpass reservations based on those tickets at all for any day prior to the package check-in date, until you arrived at WDW and had the tickets separated from the package reservation - which you can do only in person at WDW.

If your Poly night was the first night, you could use a room/tickets package, but since it's your last night, you could be put in the position of being unable to make any fastpass reservations at all for the majority of your trip, until you actually get to WDW and have the tickets released from the package.

Oh wow, glad I asked! So room only and tickets separate! Got it!! Thanks everyone!

So I have another question! Will we get Magic Bands for booking the one night at Poly? And if so i just hook up our tickets to them in MDE correct?

Yes, you'll receive MagicBands that will automatically be linked to your MDE. Link your tickets to MDE and you'll be able to enter the parks and FP lines by using your MBs.

No expert here at all... But regarding all the "no FP booking for days prior to your stay" bit, maybe it was a system glitch but I actually made reservations this past Tuesday for today. Our stay isn't until end of May but I clicked wrong on the calendar and twice had FP reservations showing for April 28th before I realized the mistake and deleted them.

With that said... I was having other issues where I'd deleted my FP reservations for one of our actual days, and it would not let me make new reservations for that same day at another park. Said I had existing passes that day and couldn't do 2 parks. Had to call Disney and they were able to correct it so perhaps the previously mentioned deal was a glitch as well.

Today would be within 30 days of your trip so it would make sense you were able to book those- I think the issue is trying to book 60 days out...
