I asked this back in August but never got an answer.

How would you use FP+ in this situation ?

Family of 3 or 4 depending if older DD goes.

Let's take space mountain, DD's ride DW wife and I do not,
Do I get them FP+, which would mean they have 2 left, but DW and I
have 3 or do I book 4 for SM and let them ride twice, very confused

Whatever you want?

I'm not seeing what's confusing. Are you confused if you can use the 4 FP to allow them to ride twice? You can. You just need to decide what's more important to your family, your DDs riding twice, you and your DW riding something while they're on Space, or even your DDs riding another ride that you and your wife don't ride with the other two FP. Only you can decide what's best.

You should ask your DD(s) what she/they would like to do. If they want two rides on SM, then book all of you for SM and give them your Fp+. If they don't care about a second SM ride, then you and your DW can book something for yourselves for the same time period as the SM Fp+.

It really depends on your DDs...they may want all of the Fp+! ;)

And this is another thing I don't like about FP+

You're left with either splitting your party and not riding something else FP+ together OR losing a FP+ for the ppl who don't want to ride. We sometimes used the FP+ for extra rides and sometimes split into two groups. For example, the one day I FP+ Space for son, my dad and my husband and then FP+ meeting Rapunzel for daughter, myself and my mom. (My mom and daughter don't ride it and I just wanted to meet Rapunzel.) It still stinks.

I would consider splitting the FP+ and using yours and DW's to ride Buzz since it's nearby.

That sounds like a personal preference kind of question to me. I do, however, see some options for you.

Option 1 - you book FP+ for SM for all four of you. DDs use their MBs to ride once and your and DW's MBs to ride a second time. You then have two remaining FP+s for everyone that can be used for attractions you wish to do together.

Option 2 - you book FP+ for SM for DDs and FP+ for you and DW for something the DDs aren't interested in. Everyone still has two remaining FP+s for all-together attractions.

Option 3 - you book FP+ for SM for DDs and FP+ for BTMR for you and DW. I'm betting you and DW won't want to ride that either. DDs use both sets of FP+s, leaving you all with two remaining FP+s for all-together attractions.

I think it's really up to you and what you and DW want to do. If WDW begins to clamp down on guests sharing MBs to share FP+s, that all might go out the window. Something to keep in mind. Hope that helps!

That's a good idea re: FP BTMR at the same time as Space, then having the girls use it for both rides if you don't want to ride it as well. I never would have thought of that. The girls will be criss-crossing the park but oh well, they're young. LOL!

It also doesn't have to be at the same time. You can change the times as well as the attractions, so you aren't crisscrossing.
