It's been a while since visiting WDW and I'm heading down soon. I get the whole 60 day window thing (we have our resort reservations). The kicker is that we are not buying passes. We are being gifted some cast member passes.

How can you even do a FP+ in this situation? Is it even possible?

Yes. Link the E-ticket # in your MDE and you'll be able to book FPs 60 days out.

If you don't have MagicBands linked to everyone, at the park entrances they'll convert the E-ticket to a hard plastic ticket. You won't need to go to Guest Relations. Or, if the CM still has the E-tickets, they can get them converted to plastic tickets before you arrive. Just have the CM send you the e-ticket number so that you can book your FPs.

Thanks so much. And what if some days are comp passes and some are maingates?
If you link your CM friend's MDE to yours, Main Gates and Guest Passes also can be booked 60 days out.

The CM must be the one booking the FPs from their MDE because only they can access the FPs for the Guest Passes. So as long as the MDEs are linked, the CM can book at 60 days.
