FP Question / Strategy

It is my understanding that after your first three planned FPs are up, you may add additional ones at the kiosks.

We are going in late September and one day we are planning only to go to the parks for breakfast (Tusker House) and after dinner for Fantasmic! We might have an hour or so in between dinner and Fantasmic, so I was thinking we could schedule a FP for TSMania then. We also wanted to get a FP for Fantasmic so we did not have to arrive so early. Am I able to book two lesser FPs and TSM, miss the two other FPs, use the late TSM and then book Fantasmic? Or does it make you use them even if you miss your others?

This would work subject to Fantasmic! still having FP+ availability (which I think is unlikely).

Your initial 3 selections either need to be used or the return windows have past.

If it were me, I'd consider doing the Fantasmic! Dining Package at one of the participating restaurants (Mama Melrose's, Hollywood & Vine, or Hollywood Brown Derby) for either lunch or dinner so you won't have to use one of your FastPass+ for Fantasmic! As the pp mentioned, the return windows on your first 3 FastPass+ have to have passed already in order to get a 4th one.

Don't waste a FP on Fantasmic. It is not worth it. Check out Mesaboy2's thread on fast pass strategies. It is super helpful and informative.

We really don't plan to do anything else there that evening but Fantasmic! unless we can also get a quick TSM FP in before then. So I was thinking of scheduling two FPs early that we would miss because we're not going to be in the park, and then TSM as soon as we arrive after dinner. After that, if still available, grab one for Fantasmic!

The Dinner Package is an attractive option, however with the exception of Brown Derby, I probably wouldn't consider eating at any of them.
